the way i see it is...they already believe that my profile has considerably changed and hence they called me.
what exactly went wrong is a good question and honestly i am not sure if i should mention " i have more clarity on my goals now and did not have as much clarity last time"

On second thoughts, ISB is not that strict on maintaining its deadlines, dings and waitlists came the next day even in R1, and few acceptances also, Do u have to make a financial commitment to school B on Feb 15?

Dude...i am in same fix with only exception that i have got to confirm in next week for the other B school....i tried getting an early decision from ISB but they declined and asked me to wait till the deadline i.e. 15th feb. However, i'd suggest to take your chance and contact the ISB adcom. There is no harm in trying as ISB is very supportive and who knows if you put up a strong case ,they might give you an early decision.
