Vaibhav,
Yes, we will consider your teaching experience if it was full time exp. You will have to decide on your own whether ISB is the right choice for you or not. It will not be ethical on our part to influence your decision.

Dear Sir,
I was told of that extra recommandations can be mentioned in the Essay. If the people from whom i need to take recommondation do not possess any OFFICIAL id but 2-3 personal id (due to their field & nature of operation), then can i have those personal ids mentioned.
Awards - is there any specific time period or event significance that will determine the mentioning of the Awards , or even petty ones of varied field s can be helpful for the application
thanks & regards

Hi,
For the current year, some of my income is in INR (Rs) for my stint in India and some in USD($) for my stint in USA. I wanted to know how the current salary portion should be filled up in the employment details section.

Respected Sir,
Does a reapplicant need to submit GMAT scores again through GMAC? Please advise.
Dear Sir/Madam:
I've following questions:
I took GMAT last year (Feb '07) - scored 720 with 4.0 AWA - The score seemed good enough then. However, things have changed in this year and a half.
720 for my application pool (Indian, IT Engineer, Male) is below average. AWA is certainly low. Though I have 6+ years of experience, I feel my profile will be considerably strengthened if I can score 750+ with 5.0 AWA score.
I need your advise here: Should I take GMAT again and submit my application in second round or take chance hoping to get through
and apply in first round?
Also, if you suggest to take GMAT again, can I schedule it for November 24th/25th? In one of the posts here, you mentioned that GMAT
scores should reach you by 10th December. Is there enough time for that? Due to personal reasons, I won't be able to prepare until start of November. So, November 24/25 will give me three weeks to prepare.
Please let me know,
Thank you,
Applicant
Dear sir,
I took a career break in order to prepare for GMAT as the job was very hectic secondly I had plans to start my own consultancy . Will my career break be seen as unfavourable, particulary since I have 5 years of service in army and have worked in corporate for a year in HR post XLRI.

Admissions Team / Menon Sir,
I have a question regarding the application. The 'Scholarship Application' section says that we need not apply for the "merit based" scholarship as all those who secure admission will automatically be considered for the same.
Does this mean that it is not necessary to write the scholarship essay, to be eligible for the merit based scholarship?
Question 2:
We also have to upload our passport as part of the application. Does that mean a scanned copy of the first and last page of the passport will do?
Thank you for your time.

1) Kunal, you will have to opt for offline evaluations as we do not accept personal email ids of evaluators.
2) We will prefer that you mention the significant ones.

Dear Applicant,
Convert your INR salary to dollars and mention the consolidated (Indian & USA salary) figure in the application. You will also have to upload the proof for both salary portions.

Kavita,
The gap year will not reflect negatively on your application provided you explain it well to the ADCOM.
Admissions Team
Dear Mr. Menon,
Thank you so much for your prompt replies.
- In admissions committe's opinion, what makes a good essay?
- While writing the essay on student body presidential election's speech, I am getting prompted to include an informal tone, since the speech is to be addressed to ISB students - my colleagues. And I assume that they wouldnt like to vote for someone sounding very formal and boring. But, this essay is part of application to ISB, therefore should the tone be necessarily formal?
Poonam
Applicant,
We will suggest that you retake the test and apply in the second cycle. You can schedule the GMAT test in the third week of November.

Dear Adcom,
1. Is the score of 720 so low that a person had to reappear in the test and apply in R2 ?
2. Can you please tell me the average GMAT score in Indian,IT,Male category. Please tell me the AWA score of an average profile.
Thanks,
Sravan
Hi.
I have a query about the online application. The education details are to be filled separately for class XII first and then for B Tech next. There are two separate links to fill the two pieces of info. In both the links for filling the class XII and the B Tech details, a text box is given to explain gaps in education, if any. But I didnt have any gap in my education in that way .... I mean I finished my class XII in two years (1999 to 2001) and my BTech in 4 yrs(2002-2006). So I finished both in the stipulated time.
But as you can see I joined my B Tech course only in 2002 even though I passed class XII in 2001. (Prepared for JEE in that one yr). So my question is does this count as a gap in education? And if YES, should I explain this in the textbox provided in Class XII details or in the one for B Tech details?
Kindly resolve my dilemma.
Thanks

Slam,
1) There are two need based scholarships mentioned in the application. If you are applying for any one of them, then you have to write the scholarship essay. All merit based scholarships are listed on our website http://www.isb.edu/pgp/Scholarships.Shtml. For these, all formalities will be done only when the next batch starts.
2) Yes, that is all we require.

Dear Sravan, please understand that we receive a large number of applications from the IT applicant pool, thus increasing the competition tremendously. As a result, the average GMAT score of this particular pool has gone up to 730 this year. Also, 730 is only the average which implies that we do have IT applicants with a GMAT score of less than 730.

Sir,
I have done certificate courses from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Research and Epidemiology and also done a certificate course for Statistical Analysis of Data from the same institute. I have the certificates with me. Where should i mention this additional course.

Dear Applicant,
