Hey all,

Apologies for being away for soooo long. but as luck would have it, My laptop crashed 3 days before my term end exams!! Talk about bad luck! Even now I'm posting from a dear friends laptop!! God Bless Roommates :P.. well its been an epic week if I may say so. Term 5 ended bringing us closer to the culmination of our journey at FIIB and it feels weird looking back at the last 15 months. It seems like yesterday we were having our orientation week at colg.. and now to this day.. just 2 terms away from the real world. The words that come to my mind right now are the ones that our mentors Mr. Manish Kheterpal and Ma'am Radhika Srivastava always remind us, that this is the environment where we can make mistakes yet not have to pay for them..well not too much :P.. Any way.. I'mm still months away from leaving.. months away from the reality and yet the time doesnt seem long enough.. I have so much I want to do and so much I have to do! Well i guess the time for action is now.. 😛 Term V begins tomorrow.. Just one week before the Study Tour to CHINA!! Supper excited!!! got soooooo much to do!! and in so little time!!

Feels great to be 75% leader. Attended the first class of Term 5 and exceptionally late. Managed to get the entry to the Customer Relationship Management Class.. Super nice... Feels like a senior... Oh yea.. Totally forgot to mention. I will be mentored by the Staffing Head Google for my upcoming project. Its all about giving my 200 % and beating the best in me.. Reading a lott...

Life at FIIB - Finished with our First End-Terms, having a whole week to be lazy and suddenly the mail pops up saying a deadline for presentations!!!
But, that's what we are going to learn.. Excited to see how we have performed and how things will be in the next session which starts from 24th September'12.

Thanks FIIB for giving us break for a week We needed it.

But, the three months here were full of enthusiasm whether it was academics or participation in extracurricular events like Ranbhoomi 2012 (an annual sports event). We had an equal enthusiasm for all.

Oh! Who can forget well organized CONCURRENZA, a day full of fun activities followed by DJ which was exclusively organized for juniors by seniors. Thanks to seniors. Everything was perfect and amazing.

One of the management research prove that output produced under pressure is best. FIIBians prove it. We perform with zeal in lesser time whether they are exams or presentations !!! AFTER THIS BREAK, WE ARE FILLED WITH ENERGY TO WORK HARD AND ENJOY HARDER.

Time is just flying by... My encounter with one of my fears in MBA.. Entrepreneurship class... Must say pretty moving.. wanting to know the other side of the coin.. Venture capital.. Another worry coming up.. the Placement season.. and the warriors are getting decked up with our first weapon or better put it.. an attempt to woo the recruiters the Resume... so everybody id getting to put the correct things... Lot of work to do.. See you all soon...

1. FIIB currently does not has hostel accommodation, but the administration helps in searching accommodation and you will find good accommodation nearby the institute. In fact, I am a first year student and live In a PG searched by administration of FIIB and I found it with all the amenities provided.

2. If you want to apply through Feb MAT, Check our web page www. fiib.edu.in , admissions. You are supposed to fulfil the percentile cut off criteria. You need to fill application form either online or offline and you will be given a particular date for GD and PI in Delhi. You will be informed about your selection via email and phone call.

3. Presently, there are 180 seats.

4. The highest package of last batch for finance specialization was 6 lakh. p.a.

5. If we talk about what FIIB does for the development of students, there are numerous initiatives and activities.

FIIB has Toastmasters as a part of Business communications programme which is an excellent way to build presentation and leadership skills. You learn how to run and manage a meeting, practice impromptu speaking, along with prepared presentations. Read this :


FIIB organizes various conclaves, like recently we had Finance conclave. There were eminent speakers from SIDBI, other financial institutions and private equity firms. Likewise, FIIB organizes conclaves for every area like Marketing, HR etc.

There is mentor for each student which helps in the overall grooming of a student for facing professional challenges further in industries.

If we talk about academics, we have course curriculum which is helpful in giving practical knowledge. The course is followed by presentations based on case studies. There are quizzes, projects and assignment.

There are student driven clubs and there is mentor for each club.

And there are lot many things which FIIB does.

6. In foreign tour, students visit various parts of the world which are relevant economy wise and business wise like China, Finland, Dubai, Singapore, Japan and many. A student can visit only one place. Foreign tour exposes you to experience the business and cultural insight of the country as well. Since each business is breaking its boundaries to expand, we need to study their culture and economy both.

thanx a lot for ur valuable info!............ all cleared....but lil bit confused bout placements...... if 6 was the highest .....then wat is avg..?? as cos on another forum on pagalguy itself I read administrator saying it was 7.5..........so it's better if u can tell me avg packages ...nd pls do mention in hand or total!......

nd ya I ahv heard bout the faculty a lot!..nd the development of students....M looking forward to take admission as I dun want to get into more confusion ....and wanna finalize one!.....so pls mention avg too..??

Overall, average package was between 4-5 lakhs(domestic)

@SwapnilChamp92 Yes, dual specialization is allowed in FIIB. Sure, you can take IB and finance for your specialization
