i am presently working with TCS and have 1.5 yrs of exp
my acads are
10th ---86.4%
12 th --81%
B.tech --75.7%(with Honours)

what r my chances of making to GLIM???
what is the GET and GD like ???as i m planning to take the GET

plz give me some info abt the GET and GD and how to prepare
for them???

please read the earlier posts to do a self evaluation of ur chances.

i think u have a very good chance as u have good acads and a decent work ex. and yeah if u get ur essays , recommnedation properly.
i dont fine any reason for not finding u amongst us at glim. ATB

Should I appear for GET or CAT percentile is good enough?

see a good cat score is definitely an advantage.
so if u feel u had not done very ell in calcutta do give Get. but at the same time if u feel that u may not be able to perform in GET because u may hav not been working on ur aptitutde now.. then dont take GET.. as i had told earlier also for some1 else in this forum, that it is a call tat u will have to take urself.
and i have seen many profiles here. many of them have around 90 + percentile.. so give it a serious thought.

but again u dont need to bother much as ur cat score is only one small parameter that this B-school sees. so work on ur essays etc etc..
and u have an advantage ur profile looks good to me. so go ahead

Can somebody please tell me if there is any student exchange program between students of GLIM and YALE, Illinois and Nanyang universities?
Also do students of GLIM get any certificate or somthing from any of these universities?

What kind of interactions do the students at GLIM have with the students of these universities?

Seniors please throw some light on the MOU's collaborations and alliances.
How did these help ur'll.

This must have helped in getting profs from reputed foreign universities is there anything else that it helped ur'll in.

My educational background:
Secondary school : 93%
Higher secondary school: 87%
Undergraduation : B. V. Sc., (Bachelor of veterinary sciences) 78%
Internship experience: Kentucky equine management internship,
Lexington, Kentucky, USA
Work experience: 1 year in chettinad stud farm as Resident equine veterinarian.
18 months in a stud farm of saudi ministry in Saudi Arabia.
I appeared for GMAT on Jan. 18, 2006
Score: 600/800 - 70 percentile.
Quants: 46 - 80 percentile
Verbal: 27 - 46 percentile
How good is my chance of getting into GLIM? Can i apply with this GMAT score? I'm afraid that i have a low score in verbal. Is it better to appear for GET? How should i prepare for GET?
How should i prepare for GD and interview? Suggest me some good books for the same.
Kindly help me.

aahaa..after a long time writing about whats really happening at great lakes.. the first leg of placements is over and has been IT dominated and i should say it has been remarkable though i cant give stats on sal and stuff like that..

considering that we have a mosaic profile of students we need more variety and better roles to place students..hence the second round starts a bit late and will involve banks,consulting,FMCG,manufacturing and others. we do have a indicative list of companies and Boy!! they are really impressive..

Just let the stats read 100% placement then we will release the report with a big bang..till then it will be subdued..

yep me and vijay did corner up IT jobs..

right now doing Markstrat and it's too damn interesting..wished that it could have been held earlier..anyways better late than never..gotta enter my 7th round results..bye!!
