"Blood cannot be manufactured, we can only get it from generous donors."


PAHEL - IMT Hyderabad, the CSR club of IMT Hyderabad organized a blood donation camp "EHSAAS" in association with Indian Red Cross Society on 1st February 2019. 

Understanding the utmost importance of blood donation and how instrumental it is in saving lives, the members of IMT Hyderabad came forward to donate blood and save the lives of a few individuals. We would like to thank the brave donors who made this event a  success and helped us in the collection of a total of 79 units.


Prarambh the E-cell of IMT Hyderabad conducted a panel discussion, ORTUS 7.0 on February 7, 2019. The guests for the same were Mr. Prashanth Kumar Manchikalta, C.E.O.of Aira Enterprises and Mr. Kali Prasad, C.S.M. for Fortune Tire Tech Limited. Along with them was our visiting faculty Mr. Geoffrey Clements. They talked about their respective journeys and the hurdles they face in setting up their start ups. They shared their hardships and the course of their success. Students who attended the session found this interactive discussion as an opportunity to get insights about their doubts regarding the reality of the industry. The session was followed by a logical fun activity and the students found this session as an intellectual take away.

Mercatus Mantra, the marketing club of IMT-H conducted its last event of the batch 2018-19, The Riddler's Anarchy 1.0 on February 6, 2019 and certainly got the campus excited with its unique games! The event consisted of Brand Charades, and the second round, Tom Marvolo Riddle, being a Twister with a brand twist. The event was full of enthusiasts and fun all around! And the branding questions during the twister round were full of riddles of taglines and famous products, that left the team into pondering the right answer! The event pulled a huge crowd in the daily routine of a B-School life, refreshing the minds of the participants!

On February 16, 2019, Pahel the CSR club of IMT Hyderabad took the initiative to pay tribute to the CPRF Jawans who were martyred in Pulwama Terror Attack. A candlelight vigil was conducted in campus at 9:30 p.m. followed by a 2 minute silence for the lives lost. All the students in campus, also the Director joined in to pay tribute to the soldiers and stand in solidarity with the families of the bereaved.

On February 19, 2019, Shri. Nandkishor Kagliwal, Chairman, Nath Group of Companies delivered an experience sharing session on “Challenges in Improving Efficiency, Sustainability & Resilience in Agricultural Industry”. He talked about various advances in the field of agriculture and how the field is seeing an upscale in growth. He also talked about his own entrepreneurial journey and gave us insights about the realities of the industry. It was indeed an interactive session.

IMT Hyderabad organized a Management Development Program for 26 employees of Apollo Tyres from 21st of January 2019 to 14th of February, 2019. The employees underwent a rigorous training program of 84 sessions by our best faculties which helped them understand the evolving customer-client base of Apollo Tyres. Like all management programs organized in IMT Hyderabad since 2011, it also had the enthusiasm, preparation and participation of the candidates that made the program a great one. This was the successful completion of 21-day ASPIRE 4.0 training program for employees of Apollo Tyres Limited.

Athena-The Strategy Club of IMT-Hyderabad launched “The Wall Magazine” on 5th of February, 2019. The Wall Magazine was inaugurated by Dr. Debadutta Kr. Panda, Prof. of Economics and Strategy and the Chairperson of International Relations. This wall will be used to display the corporate and business related news articles which will help the students to stay updated about the latest changes in various fields. 

Department of General Management of IMT Hyderabad under Dr. Steven Raj Padakandla, Assistant Professor (Economics) & Area Chairperson- General Management, organised a visit to Telangana Legislative Assembly for the students of Public Policy Management Course taught at IMT Hyderabad. The students got a first hand account of how the Assembly functions, its importance and role in the policy making process. The students interacted with the Secretary to Legislature- Dr. V. Narasimha Charyulu, who emphasised on the importance and role of the legislature amongst the 3 pillars of democracy, i.e., Legislature, Judiciary and Executive. He also spoke about why it is necessary for future business leaders and managers to be well versed with this aspect of policy making. The Secretary commended IMT Hyderabad for the initiative and urged more and more students to visit the Assembly and have a practical experience of Policy making and legislative framework.

A Leadership Series was conducted by IMT Hyderabad on 12th February 2019. Mr Ramam Atmakuri, Executive Vice - Chairman, L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) shared his tremendous knowledge and experiences during the session on “Sustainable Service Model – Story of LVPEI”. He also talked about the workings of LVPEI and focused his discussion on 'Social Entrepreneurship' and its importance. The Leadership Series proved valuable for the management graduates as it provided them with an opportunity to understand the real-life practices in the corporate world and also understand the social service sector. 

IMT Hyderabad on 15th August 2019, celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with much zeal and enthusiasm. The function commenced with the Independence Day parade and the flag was hoisted by our dean, Dr. Sriharsha Reddy. Antragna, The Cultural Club had a string of performances which left the audience mesmerized. Pahel, The CSR Club organized a staff luncheon as a gesture of gratitude for the hospitality and security staff of the college. The day ended with a series of friendly sports matches between seniors and juniors organized by Altius, The Sports Club and scoring by Insightix, The Analytics Club. The hard work and fervour of various clubs of the college coupled with the excitement of audience resulted in a day which was filled with laughter and happiness.

On 8th August 2019, our alumni, Mr. Pranav Mitra (Batch of 2014) visited the campus as a practitioner and took a session for the finance major students on "Currency Hedging". Mr. Mitra is currently working in DR. Reddy's Laboratories Treasury Department and he shared with the students the various ways by which Dr. Reddy's manages risk using Derivatives. The session was very informative as the students understood the practical application and implementation of the concepts taught in class.

Plant a Tree! Plant a Life! On 21st August 2019, IMT Hyderabad witnessed a Tree Plantation Drive, a noble initiative taken by our Director, Dr. M. Venkateshwarlu. PAHEL, the CSR club of the institute successfully organized the drive. All the students, faculty and staff actively participated in the drive and planted around 300 saplings all through the campus. The aim of this noble drive was to make the campus greener than ever and spread awareness about the importance of trees in our environment.

Forget the Miles, remember the Glory" On 25th August, 2019 the students and faculty of IMT Hyderabad participated in the 10k Airtel Hyderabad Marathon. Each participant successfully completed the marathon with much zeal and enthusiasm. Aman Sah from batch 2019-21 completed the marathon in 56 minutes 51 seconds.

IMT Hyderabad organised the third edition of TEDxIMTHyderabad on 31st August, 2019. The theme of the event was "The Imperfect Blend", which symbolises an amalgamation of Diversity - to forget our differences and see the world as one. The speakers spoke on a variety of topics – the importance of power dressing by Riddhi & Siddhi, reliving disaster relief experiences by Amarpreet Singh, understanding the equation of war and peace by Nabila Jamshed, overcoming our obstacles by Pawandeep Singh, how to fight our fears by Dar Gai and finally, understanding the implications of human error by Rahul Tyagi. All the speakers were from diverse walks of life and they left the crowd motivated and inspired.

“Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is.” – Vince Lombardi IMT Hyderabad's Sports Club, Altius, organised the very First edition of Sports Day on 2nd September 2019. It was a day filled with athletic events(solo and group) like individual race, relay race, box cricket, shotput and much more! The day witnessed an enthusiastic participation from students of both the batches.

"There is no sincerer love than the love of food." - George Bernard Shaw Prarambh, the E-cell of IMT Hyderabad successfully organised Food Fiesta 8.0 with the gaming theme "Foodies Arena" on 4th September 2019. The event was inaugurated by our director, Dr. M. Venkateshwarlu. There were a variety of cuisines available in the stalls starting from Pita Bread to Dabeli, Tiramisu Cake to waffles, Fish and Chips to Pasta. The event was a big success with smiling hearts and happy stomachs.

Team PAHEL conducted a school drive - Aashayein on 25th September 2019. It was a blissful experience for each and every member of the team as they got to spend time with the tiny tots who were super excited and enthusiastic. The whole school was echoing with the sweet sound of laughter and childhood innocence! Moreover, the members had the best time learning, playing and dancing with them! After all, there is no greater joy than bringing smiles to children!

“The best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing.” - Tom Fishburne Mercatus Mantra - The Marketing Club of IMT Hyderabad hosted its annual flagship event Buzzaar 2019 themed 'The Marina' which was sponsored by Dr. Bubbles and co-sponsored by Virtuoso Consultancy on 27th September. Various stalls were put up ranging from home decor to food items. The event was a blend of marketing, creativity, inspiration and fun.

"It has been one hell of a run, but all good things must come to an end." PERIODOS 7.0 which was held on 18th-19th October 2019, witnessed an overwhelming and enthusiastic participation from several B-schools. The two-day extravaganza ended with a buoyant closing ceremony that comprised of a prize distribution ceremony and a speech from Prof. Rambalak Yadav. Team Periodos, the pronounced minds behind the event made it sure that the event lived up to everyone's expectations, making this sporting consortium a great experience for every sportsperson and spectator, thereby continuing its legacy.
