Enactus, the Somaiya Social Cell, just started off with their series of "Real Superheroes", and one of them is Monish Shah, of the PGDM- Retail marketing programme. Monish is not your average dog-lover, he cares about them enough to make it a monthly ritual to donate at the various dog shelters and pet houses in the city. This "unsung hero" does it for the sheer satisfaction of knowing that at least one little pup will play well fed and cared for thanks to him. SIMSR is proud of its students because of the genuine integrity and hard work they carry themselves with but students like Monish, put value to these reason. Ankur Mehta, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research - SIMSR, Alum of Batch 2006, Vice president, Marsh India was recently present for a guest lecture in campus for PGDM FS batch and spoke on the Insurance Industry. The students got a lot of insights on the recent trends in the Insurance sector which helped them gain a better understanding of the sector and he also talked about the recent trends in the information technology sector which has not only revolutionized the insurance industry but also turned the financial sector on its head. He also talked at length about the integration of the technology like Artificial intelligence in every walk of life from morning to the time we sleep. The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and got deeper insights about the Insurance and financial sector.
