SIMSR Power Profile 4 - Pratheesh Surya

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and Pratheesh has come a long way & continues to keep going. Living life on his own terms, he has dedicated himself to becoming an expert in his field of choice. A theatre enthusiast, there's no dearth of drama in this powerful profile.

A go-getter from the very beginning, Samarth dove deep into the consultancy industry as he got to intern with GEP, one of the global leaders in digital procurement and supply chain solutions. Coming from an R&D background, he took small, tentative steps in the beginning but soon dove headfirst into all things GEP. Here he talks about his experience and how it helped turn him from a person into a leader. 

SIMSR Power Profile #5 - Vishal Chand Vishal is a man of many hobbies and interests, and one who has actively pursued and excelled at them. An outstanding sportsman and an avid Manga reader, Vishal has been able to create a name for himself on and off the basketball court.

A true believer in helping others, working in a hospital seemed natural to Ira, who's a student of PGDM Healthcare Management. So when she got to intern with Kokilaben Dirubhai Ambani Hospital, the Number 1 hospital in Mumbai, she knew she was on the right path. Here she talks about her 2 months in KDAH as an HR intern and how it went by in the blink of an eye, leaving her with clarity on her professional roads moving forward.

 

SIMSR Power Profile 6 - Sagar Raverkar

Whether it's a race or life, reaching the finish line doesn't mean it's the end ,and Sagar lives his life by this very code, his hunger for success never dwindling. From being a finalist in several competitions to winning even more, his is a profile that is bound to power through.

The love for chocolates and passion to bring Kotler principles to life brought Maithili to an internship at Amul GCMMF. Providing her with key marketing learnings, the internship allowed her to delve deeper into the functionalities of the brand itself. The enriching experience taught her a lot about the world of marketing and stayed true to her agenda of learning 

SIMSR Power Profile #7 - Fenny Shah Having taken on a plethora of leadership and management roles in the past, Fenny Shah continues to shine in every arena she steps in. With a flare for event organisation and management, Fenny has been able to maintain a delicate balance only a few can, no wonder there's so much power behind her profile.

A person of sweet disposition, Anukriti was delighted when she got a chance to work with EY, one of the big 4 organizations. Here she talks about how the industry exposure helped her experience the major international breakthrough projects she was a part of during her SIP. As someone who enjoys market research just as much she does her biryani, Anukriti shares how she rediscovered her niche and flare going forward - to now holding her pre-placement offer from EY that she could never be more glad to accept.

In an endeavour to enhance students' understanding of the real world, KJ Somaiya Institute of Management introduced a multi-terminal state-of-the-art Bloomberg Lab for Advanced Financial Research. It's a very valuable and important resource for students and faculty, particularly of the Finance specialization, as it helps to access data of all sectors for relevant analysis and research.

Through this campaign, we urge students to 'Look Beyond' and explore what a B-School has to offer over and above the core curriculum.


With a keen interest in being a part of the fast-paced FMCG industry, Pavan Amersar found an opportunity to test his enthusiasm for Sales and Marketing by interning at the Indospirit Group. The internship was all about great mentors, understanding about the beverage industry and being a part of many enriching projects.

A person should explore to their heart's content in order to live life to the fullest , and Himanshu does just that. From dance to cricket to taekwondo to hacking, there's not a single avenue he hasn't been to, and not succeeded. The power in this profile is abundant, and That's a fact.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Suparna treaded into new waters as she did her internship in sales and marketing from a Healthcare giant like Healthcoco Technologies. She saw how technology has become an integral and indismissable part of Healthcare Management, with softwares helping doctors keep track of vital life-saving information. Here she talks about her experience and how the future of Healthcare is entwined with technology.

Delhi, London & now Mumbai, she has shown her incredible feats & left a mark. She is a leader spearheading a team of 60 & a stellar writer who can also knock you off with her Taekwondo kicks. An engineer in a Healthcare sector might sound like the beginning of a punchline, but for Ashwini, it was a plan well executed. Interning at Pharmalab gave him exactly what he needed, an opportunity to work in the marketing domain and an inside look into everything Healthcare. Here he talks about his days at Pharmalab and how perspectives change over time. 

Working in a marketing agency is no small deal, and it certainly wasn't for Tanuj. Working at NeoNiche, one of the leading experiential marketing agencies, introduced him to various concepts of marketing and their real-world applications. Here, he talks about his Internship and how seeing everything up close broadened his perspective and approach.



SIMSR Power Profile #10 - Suparna Kukreja With great power comes great responsibility, and considering the power Suparna had, the responsibility on her shoulder was immense. Dedicated to making the world a better place, she did her B. Sc in Biotechnology and now uses her knowledge to help people whenever and however she can. A regular volunteer for events of social relevance Suparna, without a doubt, is a masterclass in helping those in need.

Doing his summer internship with a high fashion brand like Tommy Hilfiger was a milestone for Aditya. Working as a sales intern - gave him insights into the much sought after social science of consumer cognition. Aditya is grateful to SIMSR for providing him with such a premium opportunity and the value addition it did. 

Riidl is a start-up incubator which was created in November 2010 on the Somaiya Vidyavihar campus to promote and facilitate innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. It identifies exceptional teams, which have groundbreaking ideas and have the potential to create wealth and opportunities for the betterment of society.

 Punit, a numbers guy, having scored a perfect 100%ile in quantitative ability in his CAT exam, was sure retail marketing was his calling. Here he talks about his internship with the leading FMCD "footwear" brand - Relaxo and how it gave him real insight into consumer behavior and volatility, and finally, direction about his own goals going forward in this truly fast moving industry.
