hello everyone.. nice to c this thread..its gonna b really useful..
here r some of my q:
1. is there any uniform for classes? or is it required for special seminars nd all?
2. is orkut , facebook , gtalk allowed?
3. do we get prior schedule of the week for lectures so that as u mentioned sometimes we cn get saturday off..we can get back home..(as m from mumbai.. only if sat-sun off i can go).. nd is that allowed?
4. apart from trimester..is there ne xam or test in between ..and as i hav heard no of subjects r increased this time, will it b too hectic? how much time u actually get apart from classes..

PS: on behave of our batch..thanx seniors for thr wonderful support nd cooperation till now.. for being so patient in clearing all our queries.. 😃 😃

1.dere is no dress code for d day 2 day classes bt yes we do hv a uniform for seminars nd other formal events..dat wud b taken care of wen u join college.
2. no none of it is allowed..thogh gtalk works sometym..
3. yea u do get 2 kno d schedule in advnce ..so u cn always work out ur weekends..bt on saturdays be ready 4 some real gud guest lectures ..even on sundays..dis will nt happn on all weekends..so u cn relax..nd yes it is allowed 2 go.
4.Mid terms r being held dat wud b after say 1.5 month..nd u ll hv presentations nd some quizzes..which will carry marks nd wud b evaluated

Hey seniors one question that I want to ask you guys, I am from Pune itself and mostly would be cmng hoime during the offs. So how does it work ya. Can I leave on Saturday eve itself and back on Monday or are there any timelines even for this.

You shall get a mid trimester break somewhere around Dussehra. We haven't got the holiday schedule yet so I can't tell you the exact dates. You'll get to know all this when you join. Or if we get the schedule before that, i'll post it here.

Update:
Our classes have started and the timings are the same i.e. 10am-3.30pm. It shall be the same for you guys. All your classes will be held in Lecture Hall-3.

Food is really good considering the fact that it is a college mess. You get non-veg at dinnertime 7days a week... unlimited. You also get soup daily for dinner and lunch. One day in a week you have a feast also. It used to be on Fridays earlier but now the vendor has changed so till now we don't know when we are gonna have it. But on that day you get amazing food and loads of other things like panipuris, etc.

Yes. We have a Bank of Maharashtra ATM. Almost all the ATM (visa/mastercard) cards work there. Only some of the maestro cards don't work.

Not a professional trainer but there is an instructor who can help you out with the exercises.

Lastly,I am reaching college on Monday morning,my parents will be coming with me & staying that day,in the college itself.So do I have to inform the college about that, before arriving,or not???

The whole academic block is air conditioned. No ACs in hostels. But the weather is so good all year round that you won't be needing air conditioning anyways. Some people still use blankets in the nights here. So I guess you got an idea about the weather here.

No. We have more than enough interaction with the industry through seminars, workshops, summits, etc. All the head honchos of various firms come here to share their knowledge with us.

3)How many persons are there per room in the hostel???
2 people in each room.

Do I have to inform the college about that, before arriving,or not???
Its better that you call up the college and book a room for your parents in advance. They charge a very nominal fees for that. Somewhere around Rs.150-200 per room including food. Its ok even if you don't call but then the availability of rooms might be an issue at that time as many students will be coming.

Why this thread,is almost dead???I feel all the folks have been vey lazy,these days.Exams are going on now in full swiing,and sleepless nights are what I am spending.Just waiting for 9th to come.:cheers:
