I have spoken to the participants studying at Bangalore, they gave me a good feedback about the faculty and also i came to know about the placement but still i am not able to get a clear picture...........
Wow! Its been almost 5 months since we started on this incredible journey of an MBA. We are are the fag end of our second trimester and what an experience it has been. Have always wanted to start contributing to the thread but the tight schedule (and a li'l laziness :D) have kept me away.
Right from the first day, the kind of learnings that we can get only at a business school has been truly enjoyable. Even all the hard work, sleepless nights (for academic reasons or otherwise :P) and countless hours of fun in class could never have been experienced elsewhere. Being in the first batch of an institute certainly gives us privileges ;). The administration and faculty have been well above expectations. Thank God they had an executive batch in place before us!
The kind of people that we have met in our batch has been amazing. So many different mindsets and so very different individuals working on things together can be a li'l tough but once the task is achieved, the sense of satisfaction felt has truly no match.
Now I need to get back to that marketing assignment (which is kinda gettin on my nerves now) and to catch a few winks before the long day tomorrow.

I am very confused...few days back I came to NM campus for my NMAT exam and it went off well...but now I am very confused with all these posts...I have 6+ years in one of the leading IT companies and I was looking to do an MBA this year...I was looking at IIM B and NMIMS Bangalore because of location factor...also when I came I had happened to meet some present students of the Executive course and received good feedback from them..now I am confused..please help...
Dear Neha,
If you are confused, I would suggest to trust only facts and numbers only.
I did similar research a few years back in a similar situation...
People always give biased opinions but facts and figures never lie. By facts I mean: * The faculty (permanent and visiting) and their qualifications * The infrastructure (College, Campus, Support facilities) * Previous placement track record, sectoral breakup of placements and other qualitative aspects of previous placements * If possible, prepare an extensive questionnaire and get hold of at least some of current and ex students and request them to help you out.
All said - it is not the program as much it is you that makes the difference. But again the higher you start, the higher you end. So if you can make it to IIM-B ... say even if in a couple of tries... nothing like it !!
NM as a brand is old... but Bangalore campus is new. So you may not find much data about placements. But you can wait and watch till you go through the selection and admission modalities - without committing yourself to the program.
"In god we trust, rest all should come up with numbers"
Another week passes by! Wut amazing news jus received about trimester 3 😁 !!
Two weeks to the exams and I have still so much to do before that. And upon that need to get ready to MC the Annual Day next week. Hope it is just as fun as the Independence day, the Analytics day and the Alumni Convergence. Another weekend to catch up on some sleep :D.
The summer internship placements goin good so far. Congrats to those have made it in already!
Ok, now to get to watchin a movie before the hugely stuffed weekend !
How is the PGDM programme in B'lore and Hyd different from the MBA programme at Mumbai.. Also can someone let me know the total fee structure for the PGDM programme.. TIA
My issue - if you consider it an issue - is that you folks are creating a wrong image by posting wrong facts.
I can understand where you folks are coming from. Just because you folks made decision to join a "not so good" institute, you should not mislead others. If all what you said is right, I would like to see it on your institute's website.
Besides I am sure the placement info will never come there as what you are telling is a blatant lie.
As a matter of fact there was one guy who opted for HR last year in that batch of 30 - he is still jobless as per my information. So don't lie to others and don't lie to yourself.
There is something called ethics. Google it if they have not told you about importance of ethics in every action.
This will be my last post on this thread as I don't believe in replying to lies.
the guy ur saying in this post has been placed in biocon with pac of 9plus and as a senior hr manager
It's been only two days since I joined the college... but within these two days already one presentation and 5 assignments completed... I am enjoying every bit of this and think coming two years will be really tough but filled with loads of learning......
Have to go back to assignment... will be posting my experiences regularly....
Committee fever is high now days... There are 11 committees and very tough selection process for getting into any of those... Congrats to myself.. got selected for Place com
The way seniors conducting the process, I say "Great work done".
Have to go through two case studies, so bbyee for now...
It has been almost 1 month at nmims banglore.... Have enjoyed each and every moment here... The teaching has been very good....most of the professor here are phd... Also all the facilities have been great....
Dude no offence... but even an outsider like me has more information on your college than you.
Fact #1 : From the executive program the college could place only 22 out of 30 students.
Fact #2 : There was no placement officer last year.
Fact #3 : The degree nomenclature becomes important in certain cases like immigration points or even if you wish to go for further education. For example those who do 1 years MBAs cannot apply to Phd or MPhil. programs as stated by AICTE.
Fact #4 : When I said no data is there on web-site... it was obviously meant for the executive program and not PG Diploma.
I have done my homework and I am aware that PGDM was started this year only. Besides I have done thorough research on many other B-Schools as well. So do not put incorrect information here and mislead others into making a wrong decision.
This forum is there to help fellow aspirants with right information and not image building.
Rightly said.. NMIMS Bombay is definitely good but as far as bangalore is concerned there are definitely some doubts.. plus there ex program is confusing..24 months n option of fast track etc.. dats why i chose IMT Ghaziabad over it
After having back to back mid terms and assignments in last two weeks... yesterday had some sigh of relief... TT tournament is going to start today and we had great knocking session till 5:30 in the morning today.. Feel like It's going to be neck to neck fights between NMites.. So join us in the evening for live telecast of "war of lions"
Yes it was really an great TT tournment held....it was all fun for 3 days.....it proved to be a stress buster during the times of our mid terms.....hats off to nmims bangalore.... Its full fun here...........
