Yeah dude...i always had 100% attendance in gym!

Just goin thru these posts, these guys are worrying just way too much. They should be making the most of these last 2 weeks they have..
ok 07-09 batch i dunno what u may have heard from other places, but very frankly, heres a very brief at glimpse at the 'real' life@siib. The first week of induction will be the honeymoon period, when u'll feel as if siib is the best thing that could have happened to u (it is actually, but we'll come to that later). U wudnt want the week to end, but it does, eventually, and then.... the trouble starts....if any of u have read 'snapshots from hell' u'll know what im talking about. The next 3-4 months will be a whirlwind. Presentations, assignments, surprise tests, mid-sems, early morning lectures, late-evening-stretching-into-night lectures, afternoon lectures, attendance problems, no holidays even on sundays, running from the hostel to the acad building in the rain and then sprinting up 5 floors faster than the lift because ur late for a lecture, only to see the prof has already entered and uve missed it by about 15 secs...aargh, even now when i think of those days, i get the jitters. After the mid-sems things become a wee bit smoother, but only a bit.
Then, after the first sem exams are over, sometime in november, things become a whole lot easier. its not that the workload really reduces, u just get used to and learn how to handle it, rite from calculating how many early morning lectures u can bunk in a month to keep ur attendance afloat, to making, in 5 mins, that presentation that u had forgotten all about. yep, dat honeymoon period feeling is back, only without the initial excitement of starting an MBA. Life would now seem to be one long vacation, interspersed by those trifling but irritating things called exams. Yeah everything seems to be right with the world, till u start ur summers, ha...time to come crashing back to reality...present guys would know what im talking about!
Neways so this is what most people would face in the first year, so stop worrying about those Stats assignments, and make the most of the 2 odd weeks u have....
Cheers...

Yeah dude...i always had 100% attendance in gym!haha....howz things with u man? howz ur project goin??

dude...u summed up my first year in mba in one paragraph...its scary...was it tht drab...i think u frgot some fun parts...
seriously guys....have loads of fun...cos frankly speakin these stats assignments wont be a hurdle...since he s told ya abt the studies part...will tell ya that its nt always just studies n studies....
apart from bunkin lectures....there r the trips u cud take to lonavla, singhad, alibaug n all other places...dont need to mention the nite life f pune..its reputation precedes it...loads of boozin n all...especiallly fr the 1st year guys...hostel away frm campus is a real boon sometimes...mornin shows cost upto 50 bucks so latest flicks wont be missed...loads of activities in the campus itself will keep u busy....plus all the non stop hours f orkuttin...
parties happen every sat or wheneva u find time...there s mini punjab...saundarya...delhi kitchen...n of course dhanashree...r own booze hub...and of course there s tamanna....if u want expensive food which is tasteless....
first year guys have a boon in terms of a cafeteria in their hostel campus...imagine in exam days, u cud have butter chicken at 1 am in the nite....nuthin beats the feelin...

so all in all fun days ahead...bt nuthin like u gonna spend in the next 14 days...enjoy all...:

p.s - time flies in a b-school...u wont even notice wen u wud be passin on experiences to ur juniors...@phrozenfire - did we notice??

Hey seniors,
Thanks so much for the description of life in college.. Waise dont even think we are too much bothered abt the assignments.... Some other seniors, Mukul and Saurabh have already told us not to study too much!!!
So we are just trying to show we are bothered without really doing much... Life seems fun, hopefully we'll have a blast as well..
There was one thing though... U guys seem to be done with ur summers.. So why would u guys be joining college late??? Do u have a vacation or something??
Regards
Sriram

my internship is getting over on 15th, going home after that...reaching pune on 2nd july....aarambh will be a nice way to start the 2nd year!

But i dunno if the audi will be able to hold so many ppl, scit, ib, hrd juniors AND hrd and ib seniors....last year even without ib seniors there wasnt any place even to stand! or we could have separate shows for seniors and juniors, like last yr there were 2 shows...just food for thought for when u meet col mohan..
hey guys isnt scit invited?? i thought all three colleges were a part of it??
