Mr. C(Chairman) started the interview and three people(Mr. A,B, and C) took the whole interview.

Mr. C - Come in Mohd Huzaifa. Please sit. Tell me something about yourself. 

Me: Told in the following chronology- MBA-Exp-Grad-10+2. As soon I started Mr B started giving me a weird look( I think my chronological order was wrong).

Mr. C - Where did you work?

Me: Told

Mr C - Why you left the job?

Me: Told

Mr. C -  How much you were getting?

Me: Told

Mr B: In a low voice, you left Rs X package job. I was about to explain but then next question was fired from Mr C.

Mr C - What is cold calling?

Me: Told (Mr B nodding in agreement)

Mr C: What is carpet bombing?

Me: Told(Mr B nodding in agreement)

Mr C: How carpet bombing is done?

Me: Thought about 2 secs(not able to structure my answer), said sorry sir, I know the concept, but I can't tell you how it is implemented.

Mr B: Have you heard about Suraksha Bima Yojana?

Me: Told

Mr B: What is Start Up India Stand Up India?

Me: Told

Mr C: Ma'am do you have to ask anything?

Ma'am: No Sir

Mr C: Thank you Huzaifa

Me: Thank you Sir, thank you Ma'am.

It was a 15-17 min interview.

Everything went in a flow with only one silent moment on carpet bombing question. I am still puzzled, why one lady was smiling all the time during the interview 😕

 persons who have dual specialization and interview at Hyderabad please take certificate stating the "marketing as major specialization". otherwise they don't allow you. coming to my interview experience " I extremely satisfied with interviewer's performance but i think they not very satisfied with my performance"

Interview experience

Date: 16/3/16

Venue: Pune, BOM

Panel: 7 (4 males, 1 female)

Reached the venue at 1 pm exactly on the time that was mentioned... but unfortunately was last to be interviewed... waited for 5 hours.. and finally was called in at 6 pm

M1: Introduce yourself.

Me:Told

M2: why dont you join your last company again? (as I left my job due to personal reasons)

Me: gave a justified reason

M1: What is copy writing ?

Me: I started explaining about copy righting 😞 for which they explain the question again that it is writing and not righting.. I couldnt recall so said sorry sir... the interviewer wasnt looking happy and stressed u must have studied in your mba... but I really couldnt recall

M1: which is a better media as per you electronic media or print media?

Me: electronic media due to its vast reach and the message can be easily conveyed to even illitrates or rural audience who cant be reached through newspapers nd magzines

M1: if you are posted in kerala which media will you use?

Me: talking about reach.. electronic or a mix

M1: which is the most literate state in india

Me: told

M1: 2nd most literate? 

Me: sorry 😞

M2: if you have to sell bank products in an IT park what would be your strategy if you are the only person and do not have any team

Me: told but they didnt looked convinced and raised few negations

M3: what is TQM?

Me: was not prepared for this question at all... got a little panicked.. took 30 seconds to think and ansewered in bits n pieces whatever I could recall

M3: what is SCM ? How it is used in logistics? 

Me: again an unanticipated one 😞 told a sort of jumbled description... as I hvnt been in touch with these since last 4 years

M3: is it used in e-comm as well?

Me: panicked and said no... later realised the blunder 😞 😞

F1: can CSR activities be used for marketing? How do you do that?

Me: satisfactory answer with some examples

F1: if you are posted to some other city than your family's.. will you leave the job (as I left my last job for a related reason)

Me: explained the reason why I will not leave the job

M1: thank you and all the best

Interview went for 10-12 minutes. Though the panel was very good and patient. But it dint went as per my expectations 😞 a not so good experience for me

Interview : Unexpected Questions. Average Performance.

It took me a lot of time to understand that panel is following a closed loop.  Questions : Mechanical EN-->Marketing-->(Finance+Investment+Stock Market)-->Mechanical Engg--> So on..

Refrigeration Cycle? Throttling - Process?( dH=0)  Then STP?  (S-Entropy, T-temperature, P-pressure) I got confused bcoz i can't recall any relation in between them so i said.. Sorry Sir I can't recall at this movement. He(EN? Banker? Investor?) Replied : Segmentation Targeting Positioning 😛 thn i realized, this was a marketing question. 

They asked some 'casual' terms related to investments/Financial Mrkt.(Here by 'casual-terms' i mean- some-not so famous terms, i suspect they are not even business terms, at-least i nvr heard of them also interviewer was taking 2-3 secs before asking...can't recall them... tried google for similar sounding words but No-success)

I have no background in Finance/Investment/Stock-Market. Don't know why they were asking? Anyway they followed the above cycle one more time. . before saying bye!

Though i answered most of the question...apart from fin/investment gyan... Still i am wondering what the heck was that? Maybe today is not my day. But one thing is very certain (Lesson Learned) ... My Knowledge is very limited and i need to learn more.
