Stage 1 of the selection process for the PGDM (C) 2015-17 has begun. Registrations for the MICA Admissions Test (MICAT) are now open.
The MICAT is designed to assess analytical ability, verbal ability, logical reasoning, divergent thinking, written communication skills and general awareness about the communication industry.
All candidates who apply to MICA with their scores of CAT2014 / XAT2014 / XAT2015 / MAT2014 (Feb/May/Sept/Dec) / CMAT2014 (Feb/Sept) / ATMA 2014 (Feb/May/July) / GMAT (2011 onwards), irrespective of their score, will be called for MICAT, subject to their application form being complete and accepted by MICA.
MICAT will be held in February / March 2015 at the following centres:
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkatta, Lucknow and Mumbai.

Hey.. My queries are regarding the MICAT
In the quantitative and logical sections, how does the Negative marking go.. ? In the 2011 paper its given 1/4 negative marking, but I,m not sure if the same marking was carried out in subsequent MICATs..
Also can we leave certain questions in the Quantitative and logical sections unanswered, there's no clarity on this..

as far as I have observed, a 90%ile and above in cat/xat plays a significant role in getting selected at MICA, if u say that there is no weightage given to these exams then why is it so that people I saw and had an interaction with, wrote shit in the paper of creative writing in MICAT 2014, and they were selected
There is quite a lot of speculation about the Quant Section in the exam. Whether it will be there or not! Can someone throw some light on this? And if the answer is no, then will they evaluate our CAT Quant scores to calculate our results? Please help experts.
I was just wondering that since there is no weightage given to CAT, XAT or GMAT scores, why is it that these exams are a pre-requisite to give MICAT?
