I filed an online RTI application on 16th April and called the allotted Nodal Officer today to enquire about the status of the application. She reiterated the fact the dept. has 30days to reply to the query and as the office was closed for the last four days, she'll see the application now and forward it to the concerned department(i.e. HR) and will reply within 30days.
She got a bit pissed that i called expecting an answer just after two days of filling the application and that was a totally wrong assumption on her part. The ONLY PURPOSE of my call was to bring her attention to the RTI application, that's it. Now to sum up she'll forward it to HR and then reply. Let's hope the HR Dept won't be lazy about this.

Is it possible that they will directly select the top scorer and reject the others? Will they give chance for others ? like a reserve list?
Called nabad hr in the afternoon, they said wait for 1 or 2 weeks..and when i asked about interview, he said there may not be..!
