Q. A team of 7 persons is to be selected from 2 managers , 8 engineers and 4 team leaders. There is to be at least 1 manager , 2 team leader and 3 engineer. Find the number of ways:
Approach 1
one case 1: when 7 th person is manager : 2C2*4C2*8C3=336 --(1)
case 2: when 7 th person is team leader
2C1*4C3*8C3=448--(2)
case 3 : when 7 th person is engineer
2C1*4C2*8C4=840 ---(3)
adding 1 2 3 = 1624 ans.

Approach 2 : 1 manager, 2 TL and 3 eng.== 2C1*4C2*8C3
the remaining one can be selected from remaining 8 persons in 8 ways hence
2C1*4C2*8C3*8 = 1792 answer.
