I think if the appointment of @shahrock last week in Grade A was done after board approval then there is a possibility that Grade B result for this year might have been approved by the board. So there is slight chance of result coming this week if my logic is correct..... Guys please comment below what do you think? @Aryan_Hunt @divid759

Did anyone who has given interview of Grade A face any issue on the interview day, due to jumbling of data in the biodata form?

How are the NABARD guys dealing with it?

I just don't understand how to prepare for Nabard ph2. I can't even find all the topics in the sallybus!

Kya pre ke marks aa gye hai?

Mai is group pe kaphi time bad aaya hu thats why asking

Nabard grade a previous year cut off?  Is there has seprt cut off for objectv and discrriptv?

My intrvw is over..it was a nice expernce.. panel consisted of 6 people. There were representatvs from rbi as well as nabard. They were so friendly. Made me comfortable by offering the seat. They have our biodata on their individual laptops. They ask about everything about you. Our edu background. Career, if u r employed. Agri status of ur state, etc. Thay havnt askd me any single qstn abt nabard, on which i spent a lot of time to prepare. Be prepared with ur background. Not the background of nabard. They are so cordial and soothing too.

Nabard called interview according what order?  Based on mark?  Register num?  Roll numbr?  I think ot is not based on roll number..

NABARD interviews got over on 24th , I am sharing my experience of the interview for the post of Assistant manager(grade A) in the generalist stream.

My interview with NABARD

dated-23 October 2017

venue- NABARD office, Rajinder nagar, new delhi

There were 7 members seated on a round table, interviewers did not follow any sequence for asking quwstions, so I am referring to all as interviewer rather than M1, M2 etc.

I entered the room, wished them good afternoon.

Interviewer: come tushar,have a seat.

Me:thank you sir.

Interviewer : you have done engineering.

Me: yes sir.

Interviewer : what is this engineering physics, tell me how is it different from physics.

me : sir, physics is a sub discipline under the discipline of science, and is related mainly to study of theories, while in engineering physics, we study the application of this body of knowledge to solve problems in real life, as the world engineering itself means application of knowledge to solve problems.

Interviewer: which other branch of engineering comes close to your branch.

Me: sir, we had subjects related to almost all the branches. Like we had engineering mechanics similar to mechanical engineering,  biophysics from biotechnology.

Cutting me short

Interviewer : i am asking which branch have maximum resemblance, its electronic and electrical engineering, because more than 100 credits are of electronics related subjects, looking at my marksheet he said.

Me: yes sir, in fact our branch is majors in electronics and communication, its mentioned on the degree.

Interviewer  : your branch is more oriented towards research, why didn't you go for it.

Me: sir, i started developing interest towards other areas as i explored other aspects of my personality, i wanted to take up a job which has developmental orientation.

Interviewer : did you give other exams?

Me: yes, last year i appeared in UPSC mains, couldn't qualify it.

Interviewer : what was your optional.

Me: history.

Interviewer  : which part of history you liked the most.

Me: (thinking for few seconds),  world history.

Interviewer: ohkk, i ll give you a statement, justify it.

" world is constantly changing and it changes every 30-40 years"

Me: sir, world has never been same through history, new nations emerge and old disappear,

Interviewer: give examples

Me: sir, south sudan got separated from sudan in 2013. In 1990s, Berlin wall fell and german unification became possible. Recently, catalonia region held referendum.

Interviewer: that is recent, give give more examples.

me:sir, 1935, Burma was separated from India, and pakistan and india were...(i was to say got independent as separate nations, but cutting me short)

Interviewer  : that you are telling of 1935, i am asking recent years.

(i was thinking only then he said ruasia broke up into nations,he was expecting russia as answers which didn't pop up in my mind maybe and i Gave other examples)

Me: yes sir, USSR got disintegrated into 15 nation states,of which russia was one of the country.

Interviewer: acha, what is a nation.

Me: sir nation is coming together of group of people sharing common cultural traits like language, religion etc.

Interviewer: what else?

Me: sir along with this they share

certain other characteristics like food habits, similar outlook, geographical area.

Interviewer: are punjabi similar to Pakistani then?

Me: sir as an historian, i would say yes because a punjabi and a Pakistani would share more similarities than a punjabi and a tamilian.

Interviewer: does nations have a well defined geographical boundary

Me:yes sir, sometimes nations are co terminus with geographical areas like nepal is bounded as a valley in Himalayas.

Interviewer  : does india and pakistan has the boundary?

Me: yes sir, that is a man made boundary.

Interviewer: And nations have a defined boundary, currency.

( i realised that what he wanted was the academic definition of nation.i.e., nations have 5 characteristics

     1. People

      2. Border(boundary)

     3. Currency

     4. State.

     5. Culture.       )

Interviewer: Yugoslavia also got disintegrated, what all nations did it consist of.

Me: (thinking for some time) sir, Serbia, solevnia,Herzegovina.

Interviewer: Croatia.

Me: yes sir.

Interviewer: a famous tennis player is from there, can you name him.

Me: sorry sir, i do not know.

Interviewer: do you know about Brexit.

Me: yes sir,its as surge in popular sentiments among the people of UK against European union,so secede from it.

Interviewer: what was the reason?

Me: sir,  european union was becoming stronger and people of UK resisted the surrendering of their sovereign decision making power to the multi national body.

(cutting me short)

Interviewer  : it is because the people are fearing that people are taking their jobs.

Me: yes sir,the wave of protectionism is also there,  this is another reason.

Interviewer: what was the margin with which referendum was won.

Me: sir, it was a very close referendum with 51 or 52 percent people voting for brexit.

Interviewer: who came and who went out of power due to it in UK.

Me: sir,Theresa May became the PM.(thinking) i said, sir i am not able to recall the name of the outgoing PM.

Interviewer: Not an issue. Ohk, which part of UK resisted this referendum.

Me: sir, scotland was against brexit. Even northern ireland has its own issues seperately.

Interviewer  : ohkk, any other exam you gave this year.

Me: yes sir, i gave RBI interview recently.

Interviewer: what is the status.

Me: sir i am awaiting result.

Interviewer: your father is also in RBI.

Me: yes sir,he is currently posted in jammu.

Interviewer: what would you do if you get selected in both.

Me: sir,  i ll go for RBI. As it's grade B and this interview is for grade A.

Interviewer: why didn't you appear in grade B in nabard.

Me: sir vacancies were less, and moreover, exam was very close by.

Interviewer: suppose, you get selected in grade B in both, then which organization would you join.

Me: sir, RBI. Familiarity since childhood is also a reason for this.

Interviewer: do you know how many grade B officers RBI is recruiting since 3-4 years.

Me: sir around 150.

Interviewer: and you know how many grade B officers NABARD is recruiting.?  10-14. So you have a better career prospect here, you can reach chairman position.

Interviewer: which organization would your father want you to join.

Me: sir,my father doesn't want me to join either of them,he wants me to aim for civil services.

Interviewer  : Have you read about agriculture?

Me: sir not much, i have not had any specialised exposure towards that discipline, i started reading humanties subjects since my third year for UPSC, through it i got familiar with it.

(they showed me a slide and asked me to read it, it was about food security)

Interviewer: what did you Induce from it?

Me: sir, food security is about ensuring food for all people. It has three basic tenets: availability, accessibility and affordability.

Interviewer: explain it in the indian I context.

me: sir, food security is a major policy issue in the indian context due to such a huge population. As far as availability is concerned, india has reached a self sufficient status as we now have enough production and buffer that we sometimes export it to other nations,we even offload it into seas to prevent price fall.

Accessibility is ensured through the government's procurement and distribution system. Government procures it through FCI, and the PDS shops make it available to the people.

Major problem in india is of affordability, as people doesn't have the purchasing power to purchase it from the open market and have to depend upon government subsidies through the PDS.

Interviewer: which system is better, PDS or DBT?

Me: sir, that's. A very complex issue and debate around it is going on.

Interviewer: you tell me what's your view.

Me sir, given the level of financial inclusion and digital and financial literacy among the rural people, PDS is better..

(cutting me short)

Interviewer  : suppose, the inclusion and literacy is there, consider a utopian state, then?

Me: sir then DBT would be better.

Interviewer: how would you ensure that people use the money for eating and not drinking (alcohol,he meant).

Me: (sticking to my opinion) sir this much we have to trust the people.

Interviewer:  ohk fine.

Lady member: delhi being the capital and. a state with good population, but still it doesn't figure in the top 10 states in terms of GDP, why?

Me: ma'am, delhi is not that big state, the population is not that much that it can generate revenues similar to big states.

Interviewer: no,it has a good population, more than many states.

Me: sir, delhi has a GDP greater than J&K. And the states having comparable population, like 7 sisters of north east plus sikkim also have GDP less than delhi.

And also that delhi has urbanised population with almost nil natural resources like metal and minerals, the only source of revenue being the service sector.

Interviewer: which state has the maximum GDP in India.

Me: ma'am i do not remember exactly, but can i make a logical guess.

Interviewer: yes, go ahead.

Me: it must be maharashtra or tamil nadu.

Interviewer: yea, you are right, its Maharashtra. Can you tell me the reason.

Me: yes sir, it has the largest  urban population.

Interviewer: and also the financial capital of India, Mumbai is there.

Me ; yes sir.

Thank you tushar, you can leave now.

Thank you sir.
