You seem to share my background. See, i would suggest you first read the quants portion (session 2 & 3) They take max 2 days and since we are from engg background we can grasp it quickly. It also forms the basis of book 4 and book5 so i would suggest that read quants first.
Then read about the economy, macro-economics( session 5) first and then micro (session 4).
Then it depends on your liking. You could do anything , in any order then. I did accounting (book 3) and then went to book 4 and 5. Leave the ethics portion for the last.
All the best

Firstly, you will have to get ur hands on a TI BA II plus/professional calculator or an HP-12 C. These are the only two calculators allowed for the exam.
Secondly, Maths is not at all tough. Has mainly, statistics, probability. That too basics. So shouldnt be much of a bother for anyone as suxh.

I have heard TI BA II plus is the one which is more comfortable as the order of the keystrokes for the HP is a little different. I wouldnt know for sure as I have used only the TI one. But sharing what I have read from people on this forum earlier..
I believe you get this in the shop Alfa Vile Parle but the last time I called them it was out of stock. So finally I got my calculator from Bangalore Where to buy by Texas Instruments - ASIA PACIFIC

hi, though it does depend on how well ur prepared, i personally found solvin a sample paper very useful it gav me a fair idea of d kind of questions to expect.. n wer i stand (as in strenths n weakness in diff sections) n it will make revision more meaningful....n if sample paper doesn go well one gets a huge kick on d backside to start firin:2gunfire:
I am currently pursuing my MBA in Corporate Finance and want to sit for CFA Level 1 in December. I have the six study notes books from Schweser and I have the MP3 and Video as well. Is this enough info to study for the exam with? If not, what else should I look into getting?
Also, does anyone know the cheapest and best way to copy all the Schweser Study Notes? I have about 1000 pdf pages in total and would like to print them out to study with but don't know the cheapest way to do this.
Ohhhh, one last thing.....does anyone know where I can download the Schweser CFA Level 1 2007 Special Sauce book?
The honorable Supreme Court of India has given a ruling yesterday lifting the ban on CAs for doing CFA from ICFAI Hyderabad. The ban was imposed by ICAI smoe years back. You can see Times of India of 19.05.07 to confirm this. Hence, now you can pursue CFA from ICFAI Hyderabad.
Apart from Schweser book 6, what other exams should one take for June exam?
Hi
I am also taking the june exam and I dont think you need to take any other tests. Book 6 would be sufficient. Although i would suggest that you go thru standard practices handbook for ethics.
That shud help you al ot since ethics is around 15% of the test.
