IIM Amritsar achieves yet another milestone of accomplishment as the final placements for PGP 2016-18 batch concluded on a high note. 100% placement was achieved well ahead of graduation of the batch despite the doubling of batch size in comparison to the previous year. Seven international offers along with the highest CTC of 54 LPA added to the glory of the placement season.
The diverse background and skill set of the students attracted a sterling recruiter pool comprising of various organizations offering roles across all prominent domains of management including Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Consulting, IT, Analytics and General Management. While continuing the past associations with prominent recruiting partners like ICICI Lombard, Muthoot, Shopclues, Motilal Oswal etc., there was an active addition to the recruiter list by the newly built association with prestigious organizations including Amazon, Accenture, Tolaram, CRISIL, Infosys, Virtusa, TCS and Walmart.
The top 10% of students secured an average salary of 22.3 LPA and the average salary of the batch stood at 11.93 LPA with a Y-O-Y increase of 16.28%. Placement Chair Dr. Arun Kaushik extended the credit of this accomplishment to the placement team as well as the whole IIM Amritsar fraternity.
