I have received interview dates, venue and form from IIM Vizag. But haven't received any info from Nagpur even after confirming interest mail. Are we getting any other mails from IIM Nagpur as well?
I have 97.88 in CAT and 90+ sectionals, decent profile, I don't see any reason for not getting any interview mails from Nagpur.
Just as A, B, C, L are in their own league. Seems like there are two leagues emerging among the newest IIMs as well. An elite league of IIM Amritsar, Nagpur and Vizag, and the not so elite league of the IIM Gaya, Sirmaur and Sambalpur.
The summer placements have been phenomenal at IIM Amritsar, Nagpur and Vizag considering the fact that it was their first year. In addition to it, for the first few years, it is the mentor which will be taking care of everything including placements. So is it advisable to choose these 3 newest IIMs(Amritsar, Nagpur, Vizag) over IIM Kashipur, Udaipur, Rohtak and Raipur (ofcourse not Ranchi and Trichy)??? I think these 3 will overtake the ones started in 2010-11 as these 3 have a tremendous location advantage which kashipur, Raipur and Udaipur dont have. This location advantage was well evident from the companies which came for summers at these 3 newest IIMs.So what option will you select????

Here are the top 4 reasons you should chose IIM Bodh Gaya for:
1. The Faculty - All the faculty at IIM Bodh Gaya are from IIM Calcutta. infact some of the best faculties in their fields have taught us.....visit this link
2. IIM C , the mentor - IIM C has a reputation of its exceedingly strong emphasis on academics....thats what you will experience at IIM BG. Trust me, we have had classes from 8 am to 9 pm and have pulled all nighters for submitting assignments.
3. The Placements - going into the future this is going to be one of the strongest suites of IIM BG. Just compare IIM Ranchi with its peers when they started.
4. The Culture - Bodh Gaya is a different experience altogether. The famous Mahabodhi Temple ( UNESCO World Heritage site ) has 2.5 lakh visitors every year. I have done a market research project on gauging the satisfaction level of tourists at Bodh Gaya and I got to experience everything first hand.
Trust me, like many of you out there, I was skeptical last year but I feel IIM Bodh Gaya has given me many things to take back...and its just been a year. Cheers...................
I am working as Operations manager, in steel sector, work ex - 3 years, current package 7 lpa. I want to pursue MBA in Operations and post MBA I would like to see myself as an operations consultant in some blue chip firm.
This was first time I took CAT, and scored 94.42 ( realized a bit late that I want MBA), got call from IIM Nagpur only and currently in waitlist - 1. Should I opt nagpur for MBA in operations, or drop for one year more ( keeping in mind increasing work ex, and frustrated with current job)
Also can any one help me with companies that visited nagpur for operations domain, and average stipend they paid for two months.
I am unable to make any decision, for now I am preparing for GMAT and will appear for the same in June, but again with GMAT only options are ISB, SP Jain or exec-MBA in India, but by that time I will loose Nagpur.
