This is by no mean to insult/demean any one's effort or any institute. My elder brother had graduated 2 years back from an institute (Not an IIM though but a reasonably good bschool) He couldn't get through the campus placements and hence I know the hurdles he went through in finding a job on his own.

The people I'm tagging in these posts, please don't get offended. I believe that you people are reliable & can give me genuine inputs to make a well informed decisions. After all you were in the same shoes, the previous year.

So it is only Nagpur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Amritsar and Vizag had came up with their reports so far.

I know few people from other new IIMs who got good placements but have said their processis yet to conclude and will conclude soon.

How much of importance does past acads play in final placements? (I don't have any over 70). With this thought I have asessed all the reports and I have a lot of questions in my mind.

IIM Ranchi: It is said in the report that there are 134 students and 133 offers. What happened to that one student? Nobody got multiple offers or is there a possibility that less than 133 students got placed?Kindly confirm how many students got placed?

Does prominent association in the report means every company in the report recruited some one for final placements or something else?

https://iimranchi.ac.in/wp-content/uploads/2016/FinalPlacementReport20162018_Web.pdf

IIM Rohtak: 3 people went unplaced and 7 people did't seek placements via the institute? Perhaps those 7 people opted out due to personal reasons but what sort of assistance does the institute provie to those remaining 3?

I couldn't really understand the report. Words like earning potential and all sounds complex and what about the brands?

http://www.iimrohtak.ac.in/11/Placement/CRISIL%20Audited%20Final%20Placement%20report%202017.pdf

IIM Amritsar:  104 students got placed. Is it the batch size or number or students who participated in the process or something like that? Because as per the batch profile the last roll number is 106. What happened to those 2?

No multiple offers?

http://iimamritsar.ac.in/students.php?id=PGP2&min=96

IIM Nagpur: Again the batch size is 54 and there are 55 offers so there had been multiple offers. Please confirm whether all 54 got placed?

Does key participant in the report means every company in the report recruited some one for final placements or something else?

http://iimnagpur.ac.in/img/Final-Placement-Report-2016-2018.pdf

IIM Vizag: It is mentionedin the report about "45 Eligible students" What is the batch size and what is the eligibility criteria? Does that includes past performanes as well?

No information about the batch size is given in the batch profile

Again 50 offers and 45 eligible students, is it safe to assume that all 45 got an offer? Kindly confirm.

IIM Sambalpur is pleased to share its Interim Final Placement Report for its Post Graduate Program in Management(PGPM) of the class of 2018. Since its inception in 2015 IIM Sambalpur has stood out as one of the most sought-after business schools amongst recruiters from various industries. This placement season so far has witnessed recurring participation from our established recruiters like Infosys, SBI Mutual Funds, SBI Life, Birla Sunlife, Muthoot Fincorp, Aptus Data Labs etc. While we had new recruiters such as Deloitte, Jindal Stainless, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, L & T Infotech, KIA Motors, Tolaram, Motilal Oswal, HDFC AMC, Miles software etc. The highest CTC offered on campus this year was a staggering 60.74 LPA, with the average CTC being 10.29 for the currently placed 39 students out of the batch of 45 students. With 3 students opting out of the placement process having already taken up entrepreneurial ventures, the remaining 3 students are currently awaiting results from about 7 companies. We will be releasing the final draft with 100 % placements as soon as the pending results are out. We appreciate the faith shown in our students by these companies which is a clear indication of the innate values that IIM Sambalpur represents. #IIMSambalpur #PlacementReport

Dear IIM Visakhapatnam Aspirants,

Permanent campus of IIMV is probably the largest of all IIMs. Phase 1 tender has been rolled out and the construction of the same will commence in early months of 2019 and will finish by 2021. The total land allocated for the IIM Visakhapatnam is 230.5 acres. The land consists of two hills and a waterbody between the hills.

Campus is envisaged to be 'smart' and in accordance with preserving the nature and culture of Sunrise State of India.

The city itself is going through radical changes in terms of investments and growth opportunities.

Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and other related authorities are making sure that this city will be the Fin-Tech capital and is fathomed to be the fastest growing city in the country for at least next 10-15 years.

PS: The best part, RK Beach is 5 mins from the Transit campus! :)

Hi All,

As we know most of the new IIMs don't have permanent campus or lack proper infrastucture,it will be really helpful if representatives of all the colleges can enlighten us about the hostel and other facilities available in their respective colleges (like hostel rooms are single/sharing, library, sports facility etc).

TIA

"Don't be afraid to try again, dream again and live again because the best things can't be achieved easily."

Lately, we have been receiving quite a lot of queries from aspirants regarding the cut-off. Honest answer - we don't know that but can I speculate? Yeah! Being a part of the system for a year gives me some understanding of how thigs work here.

Though IIM Amritsar had conducted it's own processs before (partially for EML candidates) but this is the first time it is going to conduct the process for all the aspirants by itself. During past two years, IIM Amritsar has come up with Extended Merit List inspite of being a part of CAP because it gives the institute access to more profiles.

Drawing similarities and considering other factors like performance of EML candidates etc. into consideration, I believe that there is a possibility for the cut-off to go as low as 94 percentile or even less.

Afterall, trying and failing is a lot better than no trying and regretting later. Wish you all success!
