MHRD doubles the intake for IIM
Earlier the decision was to have an intake of 60 students for the first batch in each of the proposed 6 new IIMs. Some of the mentor IIMs found that the temporary campuses of these proposed IIMs may not accommodate this number and therefore preferred to reduce the intake. Now the decision has been taken in the Cabinet meeting on June 24, 2015 to have an intake of 140 students in each of these proposed 6 new IIMs, it may become difficult to accommodate such a large number in the temporary campuses of these IIMs and some of them may begin their maiden batch with a lesser intake say 60-70 students.

Wait List - II (WL-II) will be activated only after Wait List - I is exhausted. Going by current
estimates, WL-II is unlikely to be activated before July 15, 2015.
It may or may not get activated after July 15 depending on acceptances received by then.
The candidates who have been selected will receive an e-mail containing a provisional admission offer and
next steps to be followed.
There won't be any communication to the other candidates.
I think waitlist II is never going to make it this year specially for the backward class (OBC) , The session will start from 3 week of july so there ain't any chances that the wailtlist I is going to get exhausted. Any opinions are welcomed.

IIM BIHAR will start their final classes from 14 Aug2015 ...
Since, we came to know that wl2 wont be activated before 15th july....this thread has virtually died....I guess not many people are interested in WL-1 to join....
