My Intvw Experience : AMAN GOSWAMI 17 feb 17 Delhi 12 noon....Doc. Verification was done at arnd 1:00 PM. My turn was second after Lunch. I entered gently but forgot to wish them and suddenly after 40-50 seconds realised nd wished. It was the most serious panel I had faced in 6 interviews till date. They started with Family backgrnd but then came to electrical which was my engg subject and started asking some serious questions which were extremely tough and this dented my confidence. After 6-7 Q's they started about relocation for ex If I was posted to some place near Madurai or forests of Ratnagiri nd my family is somewhere .will I continue or Not. Then about General insurance(Madam asked this one).All are above 60 yrs age and were not friendly with candidate...Hope they give avg marks bcoz I am expecting 115-120 in mains as my attmpts are 146

Chennai - 20th feb - morning section - they asked me about my name.. then about father's job.. my father was in navy.. so asked more about his job.. gallentary awards.. wars.. he asked me about a place famous for 1965 war.. it was starting with k.. then he asked about a particular hawildar who died in 1965 war.. and also about field marshall manekshaw and kariappa.. Next member inquired about my gap after studies.. what i was doing last 3 years.. then he asked some very basic questions from maths(my graduation subject) and then insurance.. he was very friendly.. Then chairman started asking.. he again asked me about that place in 1965 war starting with k.. i couldn't answr.. also asked which all places my father have worked and whether i have been to those places.. 4th member in the panel was a madam.. she was smiling throughout the interview.. she didn't ask me anything.. she nodded at me and i nodded her back.. she had nothing to ask to me.. and my interview was over.. Quiet friendly panel.. everything went well except 1965 war.. hoping for average marks.. all the best friends..

My interview experience 17 Feb 2017. Time: 12 Noon. Venue: New Delhi
As soon as I entered, I wished all the panel members and they asked me to sit down.
They started asking questions about my father and other family members like what they do and stuff. Then they saw in my application that I was in Bangalore for 5 years. So they asked why? Why was I there? Why I did my engg from Bangalore?
Then they started asking about my job. Why I quit? Then they said I could have prepared while working. Answered this also.
Then they asked if I knew Kannada (I know how to read), they were laughing. One member asked if I can talk. I replied No sir.
What is Mangalore and Karwar famous for?
New Mangalore Port and beaches - Mangalore. For Karwar I said Naval base. He asked anything else in Karwar, I said beaches. Again anything else, I said Shiva temple. He said No you are missing something. I thought for moment then answered the famous Om shaped beach. Finally he said, there is a nuclear power plant there.
A serious panel member started asking questions about Civil engg like how to do estate management because NIACL has largest properties and estate among all the insurers, then some questions on repair and strengthening of bldgs.
Finally the female member asked what is gen insurance? What are the changes after nationalisatoin of ins sector?
Thats it all done! I am not guessing my marks but was pretty satisfied with ,y interview. Hope for the best!

Interview Experience. 20/2/17. Chennai Morning With a confident smile i got in.. Wished everybody N was asked to sit. Now let me describe about the four member interview panel. Left side end sits our Saviour.. A motherly figure.. Lots of smile.. Encourages you always.. ie F1. Then comes Mr Serious Guy.. Lean but full of seriousness on his face.M1 That is.. Then sits our North east guy..silent through out. Helped me in a critical juncture by the way.. Then comes Mr Gentle guy.. Probably south Indian..close to 50 And probably a GM. Now coming to the questions. M4: Looking at interview sheet.. U r a Keralite.. Why u wrote malayalam as 3Rd Language only?? Dont you like malayalam??(Wrote Eng,Hin,Malayalam In datasheet) Me: That is in Alphabetic order sir ! **Everybody laughs.. So does M4** (Somehow my confidence boosted. ) M4: So u were preparing for exams? What all exams u got in to interview part? Me:Ibps n rrb (Thinking about cross questions n getting ready for a grilling) M4: So will u join NIACL If u got ibps n RRB?? Me : Sure sir. ** Panel mumbles** I got the clue n i heard some member saying..For niacl he will say so..Others he will reverse.. Me: Im nt being stereotype sir..I like insurance sector than banking.. **For some weird reasons they again laughs** I was like ' WTF Guys ?' Then comes M4: Y insurance over banking?? Me: i told some blunders n all..Like less customer interaction n all..The second i told this i knew i made a mistake..So lot of questions came about this n i got in to backfoot.anyway they were not satisfied. Noe our saviour comes in to picture.. F1: Smiles n asks Functions of irda? Day b4 Intrvw day i had asked this in pagul guy itself..So i did it pretty well..Thanx to those good souls helped me :) Then comes Qns like insurance penetration,pan number,qn related to subrogation,qns about my wrk experience n all...Overall panel was supportive n encouraging..I found it easy to talk to them..Wasnt a great interview..Average only..Still experience was pretty good.. We can expect NIACL final result in Feb end. A guy doing doc verificaion told me that on March 1st week selected candidates would be called for final round of formalities.
