absolutely. if you have a clean service record and a person of impeccable integrity then politicians do fear to meddle with you. but that integrity is really hard to carry

their was one ias officer in ....fci ...jis ne chief minister ko bol diya tha ...i m recruiting candidates on merit u dnt dare to interfiere in my work ....bande mein dam thaa ..yar rishvat to koi bhe le sakta hain ..but jin k apna stand hota hain ...they can face them selves in mirror and sleep without any fear ..its sound optimistic but i should b like that

that sounds really good and if you can go ahead with that i am sure country would require barely few hundreds of like you to become develop in 2-3 decades

AO's signing authority is a very touchy and sensitive issue. You'll get to know abt it when u start working in office. Aapke sign karne ki willingness par aapki aapke boss ke saath dosti/dushmani tiki hui hai. You'll see that even seniors refuse to sign any documents easily. And as we are new we dont know what is wrong and right, so seniors/boss will try to misutilise u by taking ur signs ignorantly.
As officer u can sign anything and it becomes a legal doc. U can even sign on day 1 a policy of thousand of crores and the policy comes in force. See, insurance policies are very complex documents and it sometimes happens that somes rules and provisions are twisted in policies to please the client. U may not be aware of all the rules. Suppose if some problem crops up later, the first thing they will check is who signed the documents. Actually the rule says that ur boss should give everything in writing to you. But theres so much twisting of rules in day to day work, no boss will give anything to u in writing. If u ask ur boss to note anything before u do, trust me your relationship gets spoiled completely with him.

But this rule is rarely followed. My advice: Read each and every paper carefully before signing. If u dont want to sign, refuse it. If u dont want to cause displeasure to your boss just let the paper lie on your table. Hope this helps.
