Can you tell me about the date of birth certificate they have asked for.Will any date of birth proof (like Class X marksheet) be sufficient or I must bring birth certificate?I don't have have birth certificate.

Bhai I don't have birth certificate.It was never made.So far never faced any problem related to DOB as everywhere class X marksheet works.

Friends, since both NICL and New India are recruiting now. Does that mean that we have two recruitment chances? I mean is it like that if we don't get selected in one co., we will automatically be rejected in other co.? I guess since this kind of this is happening for the first time so most of us might not be having any idea in this regard but yes, different people will have different interpretations and they are invited. Having a healthy discussion will help us in tackling this interview in a better way. Thanks.

They say: Specialist training NICL Kolkata(5 weeks) me aur Generalist training NIA Pune.(7-8 weeks)
Also you can transfer your bond to other PSUs and the also consider exams like RBI grade B, civil

And Insurance sector , as a whole, has quite a good future in India and abroad.
There are fellowship exams conducted by I.I.I ( Insurance Institute of India) and on passing of which your demand increases. Private company value this qualification while hiring people.
And IMO, New India Assurance is better in terms of assets, overseas presence.

If u join in any one company it does not means you retire in that company. There's inter-company promotion from Scale V (all 4 companies candidates compete for promotion). All promotions upto Scale IV are intra (within) company. Means if u join National now u'll stay in national upto scale iv. but after that u'll get transferred to other company for scale v, then other for scale vi and then the fourth one for scale vii (if u manage to reach upto there
so no use in thinking about to join which company. pay wise growth wise respect wise learning wise there no difference of even 1 paise in the 4 psu companies.
if had i been in ur place i would have joined national so that i can get chance to go to new india sometimes in peak of career for abroad posting.

@[551950:niko] pay wise both the companies are equivalent. But since Head Quarters of New India are in Mumbai so I would prefer that since it is a financial hub.
