sharing my interview experience on 19th sep yesterday.
venue was Regional Office ,hyderabad.
19-20 were called in the morning session .2 were absent.
after verification .i was called for the interview at 11:50.it lasted for 7-8 minutes.
there were three members in the panel 45-50 years of Age.
the interview goes like this...
good morning sir ...happy Ganesh Chaturthi...
M1: good morning, tell me about yourself?
myself: gave the introduction..
M2: so prince u are already working for a big organisation like infosys so why do u want to join insurance?
myself: sir i always wanted to join public sector ,there is stability ,i like to interact with people and i think if i give my efforts there is lot of scope of growth in insurance sector for the company and for me..
M2:but growth and stabilty is there in infosys as well...
myself: but i dnt find the job interesting enough sitting in front of the system and only interection with others is on telephonic talk.
M2: do you know the profile of the AO,?
myself: yes sir there are several departments like IT,account etc. and AO is the signing authority in his department..
M2: so there is no public interection in all the departments ...
myself: sir i m ready to work in every department ...
M2: there was recent news about infosys what was the news?
myself: infosys has bought lodgestone a swiss based consultancy..
M2: there was some other news 2-3 days back?
myself:sorry sir i dnt know...
M2: infosys has got one of the projects that was with Tcs.
myself: ok sir ,i dnt knew it.
M2: so they are expanding there bussiness...what is the cash reserve of infosys?
myself: $3 billion...
M2: what is the employee strength of infosys?
myself: 151000
M2: what is employee strength of NICL?
myself:16000
M2: so it means they are 10 times bigger organisation than us...then to u dont feal
job security?
myself: sir IT industory can be very volatile ...one may loose there job in time of recession..
M2: i dnt agree ... tell me how many lost there job during Satyam scandal and all...
and you will have more growth in IT sector than in insurance ...
myself: sir it is not about money for me , in IT sector they keep on switching there companies so the so stability is not there...
M2: i dnt agree in next 15 years u will be in better position in IT sector than in insurance... where there might be no growth...
M2: how can u help in insurance sector ?
myself: insurance sector being a IT driven company i think i will be able to use my knowledge of IT to the growth of the company..
M2: if u wanted to join insurance sector why did u do engineering in electrical?
myself: sir i did not had much options at that time so i opted for it...
M2: u could have studied finance....tehn he asked M3,M1 who were silent through out the interview whether they have any other question...
M3:we are done prince ,thank u..
myself: thank you sir...
i dnt know how the interview was good or bad ...
he did not ask me any other question he simply was repeting the questions why i want to leave infosys and join insurance...
some other questions asked to other candidates were:
what is the name of the sunita williams mission?
types of policies in insurance?
and some other insurance questions...
bro all the best fr result i thiink ...they were just testing ur patience ..they knw u have sm talent thts why ur working in inosyis they were testing only that ../.i think u were upto mark even u could have answer some question better about choosing electrical in enegering but never mind ..it happens
