no... it is not your fault. If u attended the medicals, then it is done..

They are asking for acknowledgement letter just to make a rough headcount of how many are attending the medicals.....also it is a formality.
This time medical letter itself came late.... so there wont be much significance for this headcount.

Any idea by when NICL will confirm our joining? I have to join a company on 19th (where I was campus placed) so itself I need to be 100% sure that I'll be joining NICL or if not at least a confirmation mail from NICL.... any idea when will it be?

Hi guys,

Jiska hua hai unko congrats aur jiska nahi hua hai unko bahut sara best of luck.....
I'll like to quote my story in here. I've done my BE & MBA and joined Bharti AXA GICL through the campus placement. But then didn't liked the pvt. culture of work where only sales targets were important and nothing else. So after about an year dropped out of the company and started to work for my business. But however the business domain didn't worked well for me. All these risks that I've taken were because I was confident that if things doesn't happens well in business domain I can always get a seat in the Govt banking channel. In Feb'11 after working almost a year for my business I realised that things were not going well so it was time for plan B. Then came the IBPS. I'm not a firm supporter of IBPS. It is because when the 19 banks conducted their own exams every student had 19 chances to get things right for him. But here with IBPS this chance was not there as a single failure in one exam can take one and half years out of your life. I think it's a huge waste and is a total disaster to conduct a common exam. Anyway, when I took the decision to take the tests for govt sector banks I had only two options to go for IBPS and SBI. So, I filled up both and since SBI was first it was a bit tough and didn't got good marks in it but then I was qualified for the interviews. But since written marks are very important I was sure it was not going to be easy for me to get into this bank. So, IBPS was the centre of gravity for me. Then came the results of IBPS in which I wasn't selected. I was really in great depression as I thought that my paper had went very well and I wasn't sure as to what could have been the reason for me not getting selected. But had a dim hope still left in the form of SBI's interview. Just before the SBI interview date actually three days before it I checked the IBPS website and found that they've posted the marks of students who were not selected. And what I found there is what I want everyone to see. For this reason I'm posting my Rollno. 1671306657 and date of birth 27-09-84. Please have a look and just try and understand how I might have felt after seeing that. My mindset was terrible now. (For those who doesn't want to take the trouble my objective score was 197/250 and descriptive was 23/50 and so I was failed in descriptive paper = Which is not because of my inability but because of the unreasoned perspective of the checker. If anyone else could have checked the copy I'd have scored a lot higher. Also, If anyone can give me one logic as to why the descriptive test is needed in the exam when the comprehension and understanding of english language was already done through an unbiased objective test please let me know. My mind cannot find a reason.) And as I was fearing my SBI interview went totally wrong actually a disaster because of the improper state of mind. But since there was no revaluation or anything in place I couldn't have done anything. Then I tried to analyse what was I doing wrong? I always knew that I'll get into one of the govt. jobs but the beliefs of the people surrounding me and even mine started shaking. I just prayed to GOD and started preparing again and then I also filled NICL's form just through coincidence as I wanted to get into a bank and this time with GOD's grace luckily I've got into NICL. Luckily because this time around I'd not been preparing for the exams with my heart. I was giving it with low confidence and low excitement levels. And now also got around 174 marks in IBPS. So, I can get into any of the banks easily. In my case it was not the lack of my ability that tested me but it was time against which I was fighting and I thank GOD very much that after my share of struggle I got what I deserved.

Tip for everyone else is simple just understand areas in which you're strong and enhance your strengths some more and the areas in which you're weak I suggest you to not touch those areas at all. As these exams are time bounded you'd only focus on the areas where your strength lies. All you've to do is take practice tests as much as you can and do it very seriously and analyse the pattern. Try to achieve 75% score in these tests and you're practicing to get selected for what you want.

PS: Please view the list of IBPS 2011 in which the a comparative score of the candidates is given in tabular form. And try and think where I'd have landed after checking my scores with the roll no and date of birth I've mentioned.

I'm happy that I can at-least say this in the end as I've not been selected into a job because of them, "IBPS SUCKS".

1). yaar .exactly i can't comment about your performance ....truely speaking i can't even judge mine......i can only hope & pray the best for you & evrybdy . yes the vacancies are increased , but dont forget that candidates called for interview are in accordance/ratio to the new increased vacancies (nicl+niacl). HAD IT NOT BEEN NIACL VACANCIES ,THE NO . OF STUDENTS CALLED FOR INTERVIEW THEN WOULD HAVE BEEN 900(APPROX) AS COMPARED TO NOW 1800(APROX)......so there is no extra chance for anybody for selection "SINCE VACANCIES INCREASED BUT NO. OF CANDIDATES CALLED FOR INTERVIEW ALSO INCREASED"2).YES I M GENERAL CATEGORY CANDIDATE.THIS ABOVESAID RATIO IS GENERAL TREND FOR PSU/GOVT SECTOR JOB. ALSO I HV ASKED FROM OFFICIAL IN NICL (MUMBAI) about the ratio of cadidates called and RATIO OF GENERAL CANDIDATES AND RESERVED CATEGORY RATIO . HIS ANSWER WAS SAME .3).I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN PROVIDENCE .......IF I AM SELECTED THEN I WIN .......IF I AM NOT SELECTED THEN THEY (who donot share INTERVIEW Experiences just bcoz they think it hamper their chances of selection) WIN.........so let the result decide that whether sharing interview experiences for others benefit is right or wrong , HENCE no comments from my side ,nevertheless ,they CAN be right .
@all
above quote,now,is worthless ,coz results are out ...those who were destined to be selected are selected and those who are not, gud luck for future...........nicl is not the last resort .there r things far above than nicl/niacl..
but again point 3) written by me ,couple of dayzz back, was worth writing .........while reading it now and analysing my past 4 months the only thing i get in my head is : "Destiny is not a matter of chance; but a matter of choice"

your point no 3 is totally true there was this case in my class also he was been called for intrvw way b4 me and when i asked wat were they askinig his reply was ... You cant predict wat they r going to ask frm u in a govt intrvw... i even mphasizesd wat did they ask frm u??? then also his reply was same...
and rest is history he wanted me to be a loser as if i was grabbing his seat.....

bhai does any one have NIACL HR number?

@Rahul6098 hats off to u man !!

@Rahul6098 hey Rahul, congratulations!
Not very different is my story. I did MBA in Insurance from the Center for Insurance Studies and Research (Now "School of Insurance", at National Law University, Jodhpur). Got placed with ICICI Lombard while on campus. Many things went wrong then, recession was also one of them. The ICICIL guys gave out the pay scale in a PPT presentation while on campus, and paid another when we joined. I realized that I was in a fix, as once I agreed to join ICICIL, I was not permitted to sit for the interview of any of the 5 other companies that came thereafter.
I was asked to join the Mumbai office as a Marine Underwriter & Claims officer. The work was good, but the pay hardly matched with the work. As I am from a small city I had adjustment problems with the Mumbai life. It is difficult to maintain a decent standard of living in Mumbai when you don't earn well. High rentals, long and congested travels, long queues for everything.

Decided to get back home and join my father's small business. Family pressures to get married followed, however this turned as a blessing as my wife encouraged me to take the general insurance PSU tests. Managed to clear the written of NICL and United, and just cleared NICL interview.
There were many ppl around constantly discouraging. Some saying that a person from General category (without any reservation) cannot get into PSUs, some saying that naukri kyu karna jab khud apna kaam kar sakte ho.
It was just a little hope that kept us moving.
I want everybody to keep their hopes alive, and keep trying.
My wife has cleared the Oriental written, and we are waiting for the interview results.
@harddisk bhai bahote badhia ....and congrats to u and bhabhi ji...
