Are you sure about it? If yes, bad news for me then! GD-PI of DSM-DTU are around that time only. And both of these colleges conduct their GD-PIs only in their campuses. The fact that I am from Guwahati makes things worse. I really don't want to miss out on any of these institutes. 😞

You all have very decent chance, i would suggest u to apply. Your work exp will be an added advantage which will fetch u a higher pay package as compare to freshers.:cheers:

in B.sc there is one honors subject and for first two year there are two subsidiary papers the overall percentage is based on the honors subject
in the total marks coloumn the form says u have to write total marks of subject studied so do i write my hons. marks or the overall marks with subsi and language papers.

You have to write overall marks of all the paper including honours, subsidiary, language papers.

Percentage of marks should be equal to or more than 55% for General & OBC category and 50% and more for SC/ST.

My query may be silly but i would like to clear out everything before i apply.

The college being in karnataka and a lot of faculty and students would be karnataka residents.i guess when there will be after the class discussions among students with each other and also with the faculty it might be in the local language kannada(like hindi here in delhi).

I wanted to ask would that really be the case.

Seniors kindly give me a frank reply.

Hey do give some respect to this institute..It's an institute of National Importance. How could you think that the class discussions can happen in kannada language.

Come to karnataka, here you'll see even a child of class 1/2 standard(Kanadda medium) can speak better english than others.
I know NITK MBA does not belong to an eavy league category, but it's not that much bad. Also it's an MBA program(that's where you can't even think what u said) and the faculties will not be that much bad to speak English.

Hope you are not kidding , Faculties wont even utter a word in anyother language than english. Its not a private college, and as Snil Has rightly pointed out its NIT that too the Top among all the NITs . Do not expect it to be of so low standard.

Seniors there is nothing to be offensive.
I never questioned about the reputation of the institute.i know its an institute of repute.
I was concerned as one of my friends last year took admission in an engg college in the southern part of india(wont name it) and he had to dropout as he said localites used to ask after class doubts in native language and which he couldnt undertand.thank you for your replies seniors.it has cleared my doubt.sorry if you feel offended.i didnt mean anything like that.

Hey Amit don't feel low its a general and one of the most basic doubt since you are going away from home to a part which has completely different culture and language and by the way i am also from DELHI. I also like to say one thing that it is very important for a manager to understand and adapt with the culture of your professional place world is becoming a global village and Just imagine how will you adapt in foreign land after getting placed in MNC if you are not able to adjust and adapt yourself in even in INDIA So my friend NIT surathkal will be training place for you in this aspect also. I do not shy away asking the most basic of the doubts as you said these things are also imp. when you are considering to study out of town.i have infact travelled a lot(internationally as well).
