Two four digit numbers are written side by side to form an eight digit number which is divisible by the product of the two nos. The pair is a) 1234 & 5678 b) 5000 & 2000 c) 1334 & 3667 d) 3334 & 1667
we can do it by elimination.
1234 and 5678 are not possible, cos their product is a multiple of 4, while whether the 8 digit number ends with 1234 or 5678, the number will not be divisible by 4.
5000 and 2000, not possible cos the 8 digit number will be a multiple of 1000 only, while the product of the numbers should be a multiple of 1000^3.
For the last two options, only the 4th one satisfies. Cos 3334 = 1667*2 The 8 digit number has to be even cos the product will be even, so the number should be 16673334. When this is divided by 1667, the quotient is 10002. Now one manual division should be enough to see that 10002 when divided by 3334 gives a quotient of 3. So answer should be the 4th option.( not looking at the 3rd option cos only one option is correct it is assumed)
let no of coins wid arun=x bikas=y chetakar=z after 1st operation arun=x-2y-2z bikas=3y chetkar=3z after 2nd operation arun=3x-6y-6z bikas=7y-2x-2z chetkar=9z
hello can u tell me how to solve what are the number of digits in i) (2ABC)^4 ii)square root of a 15-digit number iii)6 digit*7 digit*12 digit number thank u:)

1. deciding factors here is thousand place i.e 2000 2000^4 = 16 * 10^12 i.e number of digits in (2ABC)^4 = 13
2.
x ^2 * (10 ^14)^2 = x^2 * 10^28
Case 1 : when first digit is 1,2,3 from left
then number of digits will be 28
Case 2: when first digit is 1 t0 9 except 1,2,3 from left
when x= 4 i.e 4^2 =16 that's mean we added one more digit
Can someone please help me and tell how to solve the following question: A team of miners planned to mine 1800 tons of ore during a certain number of days.Due to technical difficulties in one third of the planned number of days, the team was able to achieve an output of 20 tons of ore less than then planned output. To make up for this, the team overachieved for the rest of the days by 20 tons. The end result was that the team completed the task one day ahead of time. How many tons of ore did the team initially plan to ore per day?

3. I didn't get it.
how can the answer be 28 in the second question when the number whose sq. root has to be found is in itself a 15 digit number from my point f view the thr shud be 8 digit number as 1 of the answer plzz reply

can any1 solve this question Q- how many numbers between 100 to 400 are divisible by either 2,3,5,7? plzz tell me the short cut
ans is 231 . i tell u shortcut . take a small eg first : cal all no. divisible by either 5 or 7 from 1 to 20. = 20(1-1/5)(1-1/7)=13.7=14 now 20-14=6 such no.s and they r 5,10,15,20,7,14. similarly here 400(1-1/2)(1-1/3)(1-1/5)(1-1/7) get it and sub from 400. do same for no. below 100 and sub this value from below 400 one.

pls provide options.. For such problems its easier when options are provided!!
look dude, you can by two methods.. 1st let no of days=x work done per day=y now we have two equations x*y=1800 and x/3*(y-20)+(2x-3/3)*(y+20)=1800 solving we get 20x=3y+60 so y=20x-60/3 putting y in x*y=1800 we get x=18 so y=100
2nd method. Just go by options. Suppose take answer as 100 then cross check. No of day=1800/100 =18 so as per questn in 6 days 6*80=480tons work is done. So now in 11 days(wrk is cmpltd bfr 1 day) work done should be 1800-480=1320. Check for 11*120 it comes as 1320. So 100 is correct
There is a good approach in solving such questions.....firstly you need to find out the prime numbers of 6 and the highest number in factors of 6 is 3 so divide 34/3 and then divide 34/9 and afterward divide 34/27.....what we are doing here is we are increasing the power of denominator to get the answer.....so the answer would perhaps gonna be 15.....
