My father works as a newly promoted class 1 officer in the state government (directly recruited as class iii employee),he is retiring this july. As per the ncbc guidelines i read that in case of govt employees , income from salary isnt considered. his annual salary is more than 6 lpa .however as far as i know , i am an nc obc as he is a government offcial.
my query is that all iims and different colleges ask for income .so if i mention that his income is more than 6lpa ,will my case be rejected even if i am an nc obc ?(because sometimes the authorities themselves dont know the rules ).
anyone going through the iim/iits/nitie/fms admission procedure please reply

During the cap interview , they told OBC certificate should not be more than 6 months old and asked for a dec. letter . Did anyone face the same situation ?

I heard that colleges verify the Non creamy layer. Moreover they ask for Income certificate and IT returns..is it the case so? For what purpose do they need this?

10th - 93 , 12th - 88 , B.tech - 8.43 , CAT - 93.7. 18 months workex. My interview with IIT Bombay went pretty bad. They asked me too many technical questions. I wasn't able to answer many of those. They weren't interested in my job profile. Neither in the startup I cofounded. What are my chances of converting IIT Bombay?
