If CAT score of 140 fetches 95 and 170 fetches 99 percentile. An IIM gives a weightage of 40 percent to CAT in final selection, does this math justify the grading method?
(40% of (140/3))=18.6 and (40% of (170/3))=22.66.
Does this mean in the second stage of the selection, a guy with 24 months of experience(3 marks added) and 95 percentile stands almost at the same position as a fresher with 99 percentile?
