There is lot of confusion about wait-list, let me clarify
1st List-Final converts list up on website since 16th April(This includes people who had converted under exceptional list also)---this is also called 1st waitlist excluding exceptional candidates list
2nd list-Up on website today is a wait-list ,which means if converted people don't take the seat wait-list movement happens.
For the people who do not appear in 2nd wait-list are the ones who are at the bottom part of the wait-list or ranking. these may take a call depending on the options they have either waiting or joining other college.
The wait-list movement cannot be predicted as every year the scenario is different.

In the final confirmation letter also asks for room preference. I have never been to manipal, so wanted to know how is the weather there? Is an AC room necessary or a normal room will do?

Seniors say the weather is pretty pleasant and one can easily do without AC and during summer when its required, you won't be there in the college as summer internships will be there. Anyways its still a subjective preference, some people feel very hot and some don't. Finally it's upto you. 😃

Dude! A perfect explanation but I beg to differ and many else will. My question is not about WHY MBA but WHY MBA from TAPMI. Paying a fees of 12 Lakhs and landing into a typical IT/ITES service company with a package of 7.5 to 8 Lakhs per annum is the main question. You are talking about learning, understanding wht an MBA is but this can be done from any institution..why only TAPMI.
My question still remains unanswered..why there is so much hue and cry about TAPMI....
Dude, no offense meant, but:
1) You applied to TAPMI. No one forced you to.
2) Yes, most of us here want to make it to an IIM and pass out with a 6 digit monthly salary. But the fact of the matter is, we tried, and we failed. While some people here can afford to wait for another year to give it another shot, some people like me cannot. Hence, we'll have to settle with the best option that we have in hand, and see how we can make the best out of it.
3) It's an individual's choice to join a specific institute. Just because you don't have an answer to "why TAMPI" does not mean none of us here have an answer to that. I'm sure people who've decided to join TAPMI have done their research, and have their own reasons for joining TAPMI
4) I don't see any hue and cry about TAPMI
waitison SaysI am wait listed at 596..and aware of the fact that I have to wait for a miracle to convert.But still the question is why there is so much hue and cry about TAPMI,specially after seeing this yr placmnt reoprt.44% IT/ITES recruitments...with typical service companies recruiting with an avg of 7.5-8 lakhs.I am passionate about consultancy and FMCG sectors but they are 9 and 8 % each.And if i am not wrong these jobs must be taken by the top rankers,so overall if i c i am paying 12 lakhs(10.5+1.5misc expenses) and most probably landing into a typical Indian service based company offering a pckg of 7.5-8 lakhs.The same one can easily get from any other college with less fess...so why TAPMI...my motive is not to disappoint the others who have already converted but to think twice befr spending 12lakhs.A packg of 7.5 lakhs in any IT company will fetch u 52-55k in hand and if u are going to get ur full fee financed be ready to pay 20 k as EMI for 7 years ,so u will be earning net 30k after 2 years,equal or lower than to many of us current salary.I was really passionate about TAPMI and rated it very high as I could get median salary on its website but was amazed and taken a back as the same was removed for this yr

Apart from it, if you think that the ROI is not as much as you thought, it is perfect if you leave, and we appreciate that you did a good analysis and compared it with your expectations.
@All, I do agree with waitison, do your analysis well and if TAPMI or for that matter any college, if not meeting your requirement then you should think twice before you go ahead with MBA. Bottom line is, your expectations and the college offerings should match.. 😃

Could it please happen this week by Friday at the latest ? There is a deadline for fee payment coming up for me but im more interested in TAPMI. That said it is a bit difficult to manage if the result is delayed.

I don't think seniors will be able to reveal such confidential information but yes they can ofcourse help with the sectors, as in which sector shelled fattest package and kind of profiles. Please give us some info about the summer placements as well. About the process and projects. Quite keen to know.

I am not that concerned with 10k . What I am concerned is , since i have paid 3,38,000 till now and my admission letter explicitly writes that after 23 may only caution money would be refund back.
I am asking , if after 23 may and before 25 June(commencement of program) i apply for refund ,how much money would i get back.
