Perhaps, a mail/call to the admissions office would help
mcooljsr Says
It was mentioned that Cancellation would be entertained only if received via post. Have you sent a hard copy of your request to the Admissions Team??

Still nothing...
Hey Anindo, i dont think they will send any acknowledgement. I applied for withdrawal on 20th april and didnt get the same. But I called them few days back to know whether they have received my letter. They also said, they will be releasing the refund amounts next week by check. Hope this helps.
hey..when you say not more than 100 seats are confirmed, you mean 100 seats overall from the 300 seats or 100 seats of 2nd waitlist carried over from those of the 1 st list who havnt taken the seat?
Well I meant overall. And its just an estimate looking at previous year's movement. The guys with 94-95%le and above generally play safe by booking seats (I dunno why does TAPMI prefer students with high %le rather high morale when they just play safe with a b-school and aspirants. Doesn't it feel insulted?) Most of the premier b-schools come up with their short lists around this time only and there's a massive exodus of firstly preferred candidates making it difficult at times to issue cheques in a jiffy back to the candidate by the institute. Though list might not move as it did last year but yes since its not the first love of many you can expect the list to roll down anywhere till mid of II list. Again a calculated assumption has been made and discussed here.

Hope that whatever you're saying comes true and I too get through
New IIMs 600 plus and IIM Indore 400...close to 1000 seats still left...this will affect the waitlist movement for all the colleges...Colleges that will get affected by this movement highly would be: NMIMS,MDI,XIMB,SP JAIN,IIT KGP,IIT M,IIT K,IIT R,IMT G,IMI,TAPMI,GIM,KJ Somaiya,NIRMA,Lal Bahadur,FORE
hence do not worry guys...
already due to the release of the top 4-5 IIMs,XLRI,IIFT,IIT B,IIT D,NITIE and FMS...already waitlists have moved hugely in the above colleges, because most of the applications have been withdrawn...

Hence just sit and relax puys...
yep its a chain reaction. Now movement in NMIMS, MDI, XIMB, SPJ, IITs will stagnate lists in rest of the institutes. The admissions in these institutes will further slide the lists big time. The catastrophic phenomena is intense and worth a note. Hence TAPMI is also moving the lists by lower margins right nw. Till then brush up India's poorly managed India's economic growth story ruined by political woes and enjoy IPL V.
