Is there anyone here who is "not shortlisted".. ?
Can anyone tell how many candidates have been shortlisted for GD-PI and what it the total no seats available at BITS Pilani?
Is it that like TAPMI every body is being called for GD/PI which will be the actual elimination round?
I am not getting the idea that how people who got 70+ percentiles, zero work ex and not even sending their offline applications are being invited..initially seniors on this same forum said that they would even scrutinize your SOP keenly?
1) Have the GD/PI calls been made very casually by BITS Pilani with the motive of making GD/PI the real game changer?
2) Does it question the credibility of BITS MBA in anyway (I really hope it doesn't as I have sensed that the MBA program it offers is taken seriously and lives up to the reputation of BITS)
3) Or they reeally have some complex shortlisting algorithm which people are not getting?
I request seniors to please reply and enlighten us in these points. That would help me to frame my mind clearly.

What i think is coz this is the second year of accepting CAT scores so more focus will be on profile & how can u add value to BITS. Also awareness of students reg BITS MBA is comparatively less hence less applicants applying...For 60 seats they might hav called close to 300 ppl (1:5 as per seniors)...
Also 1 bad day(C-Day) cannot define u as a person hence 70%tile+ calls...So maths is simple if less ppl hav applied so they might be generous in giving GD/PI calls..
BUT GD/PI would be a real game changer.
PS: I am too an aspirant like you & these are my views after going thru previous years threads

Work EX- 18 months (Techno cum Management role)
Lead a team of 34 engineers and achieved a milestone target for company. (Got appreciation for it)

Few achievements in college.

Guys , I see many people having questions about the CAT percentile that got short-listed...And let me assure you all those who applied haven't got shortlisted ..But yes the ones active in pg have got shortlisted...Congrats to All..
The reason behind this is that this is the 2nd year in which BITS MBA intake was through CAT AND 1st time through GMAT scores..And judging students just by CAT score is not the ideal option for BITS ,in order to have a student who is in overall sense a pure management candidate ,its important that maximum people are given a chance to prove themselves in GD/PI
And let me tell you that its gonna be difficult as the selection ratio of students to be selected from the shortlisted will be 1:8 So there will be good competition at that level , and there your CAT percentile wont matter much ,but what you are and what you have in you...So BITS is having an open ended approach in its short-listing criteria Rather then follow the herd ...Its I would say ..Being Different ..

Should all the original mark-lists be submitted while appearing for GD/PI??I'm having a 3 year bond with my present employer and all my original mark-lists are with that firm.To get the originals,I will have to break the bond which is possible only after the admission confirmation.
Will gazetted officer attested xerox copies serve the purpose. Please reply asap @seniors..
