So many memes on good guy Vijay!? Please note that when PR cells literally abandoned any queries (read FMS) , DMS team still popped out their heads to help out in any manner possible. Poor guy must be doing double time answering your queries as well as his own internship. Moreover, if you guys are forgetting, DMS team has been the most active team during offline interviews. Queries of people asking directions to IIT D from railway station were answered. I attended the offline interview and the reception was amazing and the whole interview process was smoothly done. Vijay is part of that team, don't overlook someone's hardships because parameters changed, some take time to cope.

Choosing an MBA college is a tough decision and require a lot of research. Some people choose based on avaerage package, some choose based on peer learning, some choose based on brand name and some because of ROI and so on...
After going through the older discussions regarding average package inflation, I thought of sharing my understanding (gathered through research) which might help you in better decision making.
All of you know "Average package is inflated in most of the b-schools" but do you know how ?
Let me tell you the how part.
For ex: Let us assume a company offers u 12LPA CTC (10 fixed, 1 Variable, 1 Joining Bonus). But the company also provides 15 days hotel stay in 5 star hotels for first 15 days of your joining. Assuming per day price of 5000/- (Again on a lower side), for 15 days, 75000 gets added. So if the entire batch gets placed by that company, the actual average stands 12LPA but Placement report will say 12.75 Lakhs.
There are other things that gets added which you might not be aware of. Imagine for a college, how easy it would be to inflate 3/4 lakhs based on this. There are international placements also... which significantly increase average package.
So don't consider placecom dumb...They have justifiable reason behind inflating and all these things even if audited falls under grey zone.
** This is just my understanding...I might be wrong!!
If you are looking for only average package...Think twice even before joining MBA during this COVID era. There is a high probability that U might not get good summers or have to do unpaid internships.
Focus on learning u will get..Don't run after average package!! Thanks...Open to corrections, suggestions and discussions!

It would have been better if the AO would have announced any tentative date. But let's not bash our impatient, angry and frustrated mind on the Adcoms. DMS IIT Delhi must be working really hard to publish the results. Like any college, they also want to complete the process quickly and start with the studies (be it online). We (aspirants) should understand that they are doing their best. We'll know how tough and tiresome this responsibility is when we'll be in their shoes an year from now. Good night! Hi All, Hope you all are doing well. The Department has the results prepared but there are some approvals pending from the central IIT (Administration of IIT Delhi) with respect to the mode of teaching, starting dates for the next semester, and hostel allocation. As soon as the Department recieves the approval for rolling out offers and final decision with repect to previously mentioned facets, we will declare the results. I would once again like to reiterate the point that we are only conveyors of the message and not the decision makers. However, we are trying our best to speeden up the whole process of approvals.
