Guys, which are the best source for LR and DI prperation?
Are TIME books good enough or should i buy some other books?

A-- 99.9+
B-- Very less chance
C-- 99.61
L- 99.1+ (ur B.Sc degree is a huge bonus here & thats y u need much less than others :))
K-- little chance, wud'nt count on that if I were u.
I-- Decent Chance (again Bcoz of ur B.Sc as when they normalize ur grad score, u are gonna get solid marks as compared to an Engg with 75-80%)

ABKIS -- Almost no chance.
C-- 321.53 (I think its 99.8 something)
L-- 99.7 to be absolutely sure (since ur Class-12 & Grad marks are less PLUS u lose 5 marks for NOT being a girl or Non-Engg)
new IIMs--> 98+ to be sure
Best of luck 😃 Give ur everything & dont worry about acads so much as there is always the GREATS like MDI, XLRI, FMS that dont lay much stress on the mistakes of ur past :)

Arihant's Analytical and Logical reasoning is gr8....and for DI, Arun Sharma...you will also find 300 questions for LR in DI book of Arun Sharma....just my opinion :)

My profile is like this: 67-68 percentile in all subjects from class X onwards , till MA ( West Bengal board) , 30 months of strong academic work-ex with ISI , arts student , female -- will a decent percentile in CAT help me to get into some good institute ? I want to take CAT 2013 and other exams . Please suggest.

97+ percentile(Balanced Sectionals) should get you calls from good B-School's, Questions will be asked about your academics(As to why they are so low)..Concentrate on prep and get a good score...ATB!!

@CavemanWithin Haha 😃 Least interest in QA? 😁 Usually people find DI a complete turn-off (including me) 😁 Ok so acc to what I myself have experienced during my prep--> QA- Quantum CAT (very thorough & ideal for those weak/disinterested in QA) + CL (short & exhaustive, exactly what u need 2 months before CAT) (I swear, there were 2 Algebra questions in my actual CAT paper which were ditto from the Sarvesh K Verma book. I straightaway marked the answer :)). If u do these religiously & u are a fairly average student, then u should'nt have any problems in CAT/XAT..... Best of Luck :)

@akankshar yeh log kuch bhi bolte hain....u need to have clear concepts.....most fundas come with lots of hard work and practice,mugging them up will never help....concept clear rakho and u will b makin u r own shortcuts

I am 29 yrs old and have had experience in hotel industry and finance corporate sector in junior positions. There is couple of years of intertnational work ex in UK and rest (3 yrs) in India totalling around 5 years.
I am a hotel management graduate with 69%. My 10th and 12th scores are 74% and 64% respectively. What are my chances of getting into the top ranking schools and which ones?
My reasoning behind going for an MBA:- It would give me a solid platform towards achieving a decent salary and may be lead me to become an entrepreneur.

I am giving CAT in oct 2013 and wanted to get some info abt best b-schools I can aim for in advance as per my profile being suitable or not :). If not, what more could I do to improve it..
10th :- 66.26%
Diploma :- 61%
BE :- 55(Aggregate of all semesters frm 1st to final yr)
60(Aggregate of Fina year sems)
Work Exp :- 36 and counting(IT)
Would like to knw whcih aggregate is taken into considerations by B-schools...All sems or only the fina yr sems..
Pls let me know which all good/reputble B-schools I can aim for if I get, lets say, 95+%le in CAT 2013?
Pls let me know r views on this !
