IFMR with its past records had multiple companies with roles in varied domains, coming to campus.
I never had an opportunity to work in any big firm. I was fascinated with how big firms work. To be able to dive into one and exploring opportunities was one major factor for me choosing IFMR. With an inclusive college like this, potential was valued over whatever background people come from. I am grateful to have made that choice, to be at a place where I wanted to be, when I began my MBA preparation.

After a few years of experience in start-ups to an MNC, I felt the need to level up my knowledge and skills, making them more relevant and market-ready, thus leading me to pursue an MBA.
IFMR GSB has a legacy of more than five decades and has nurtured future managers in their careers with excellent pedagogy over a long period. IFMR GSB offers a wide variety of subjects for its students to learn and doesn’t restrict them from choosing subjects over multiple domains instead of going for one single specialization as such. The roles and profiles offered by the companies are some of the finest roles that one would like to start with his corporate journey. Why did I choose IFMR GSB?
It has been an intriguing trip for me, starting with having no idea what a jewel of a college it is. It’s one of the finest b-school for finance in the country and after getting into the college I realized not just for finance but for marketing and other electives as well. I was especially drawn to the college because of its strong alumni network. The placement record was, of course, the cherry on top. Additionally, I was looking forward to the vibrant campus life as it was a residential college. The fact that IFMR emphasizes comprehensive growth by providing a variety of competitive chances was the best part of it.

Arthasabha, the Finance Committee of the IFMR-GSB, held a fun-filled event named “FINANZA,” which included quizzes on financial matters and business-related activities. A total of 32 teams participated in this event, each team comprising of 2 members each. The quiz comprised of a crossword round, a buzzer round, and a rapid fire round.
Arthasabha plans events through out the year, dispelling the misconceptions surrounding the field of Finance and there by acquainting the students with various concepts in an entertaining and engaging way. They adhere to their aspiration that finance could be fun.
