Hi. I have been shortlisted for the WAT PI of IIM Calcutta. Can you please clarify on how to enter work experience in your forms? I joined my company as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in July 2015 and was absorbed in July 2016. How many years according to the institution is my work experience? I am getting multiple opinions from different people. I had earlier calculated work experience from July 2016.
hi guys,
as promised, here's the tip 2:
about the second generic question "WHY MBA?"
>don't give generic answers or just don't tell them that you are interested in managing people, prove it.
>give them instances where you have really taken some responsibility. make them believe that you really are interested in management.
All the best to you all. Hope to see the best of you in JOKA
Hey! Do we need LOR or referrals during form filling??

Any groups for IIM A call getters?
hello folks,
as promised, tip 3 :
Different interview panels and different institutes may stress on various aspects of your profile. Some may check how good you are with your past academics while some may check how good you are at your job. Some might consider neither of those two and check how thorough you are with current affairs. So it would be wise to brush up some concepts which might help you to get into your dream college.
> have a clear cut idea about what you are doing in your job and why you are doing that and how it is adding value.
> have a clear idea about what you are going to say as your hobbies
> find out what is happening in the world at large and India in particular
> read about current business trends and recent issues
> read about a bit about stock markets and current trends
> and finally brushing up concepts from your undergrad might not be a bad idea.
Don't let anything come between you and your dream institute.
All the best to you all. hope to see the best of you in JOKA

Has anyone been assigned their mentors by IIM CALCUTTA ER Cell ?
hi, is there any group on whats app for IIM C calls discussion?
Weren't IIM C forms due today?
The central govt notice says 25% additional seats to be added from this academic year in all IITs,IIMs and Govt. institutions. Union HRD Minister has given a press conference regarding the same. Are the IIMs bound to follow the order even if the shortlists are released?
Haven't received any contact of the mentors yet. When will we get it?
When is the last date to submit the application forms?
Yo guys, Hope your prep is going well. As promised, here's tip 4: Though the weightage given to WAT is comparatively lesser it can squeeze your chances of getting into your dream campus. Here are the simple tips to keep in mind for WAT: > WAT is not only to test your language skills. Don't try too much to show your language skills and write complex and compound sentences. Keep your language simple so that everyone can understand without much effort. > Show your understanding of the topic. > Follow a frame work > Argue from both sides and finally give your opinion. DON'T give points from only one side of the argument. > And finally DON'T beat around the bush. Write straight to the point. And don't repeat the points. All the best to you all. Hope to see the best of you in JOKA
Folks, I had a small query. What are the interview dates for Mumbai?
