Placements this year have been affected badly at new/baby iims except a few. Hence, placements reports haven't been published except by Ranchi and Kashipur. I noticed an odd thing when I compared the reports by both of them, considering that Ranchi has aways been known as the better choice.


IIM Kashipur (Batch Size = 249):

Average CTC:

- Top 10% (25 Students): 28.36 LPA

- Top 20% (50 Students): 22.39 LPA

- Top 30% (75 Students): 19.88 LPA


IIM Ranchi (Batch Size = 181):

Average CTC:

- Top 10% (18 Students): 19.79 LPA

- Top 25% (45 Students): 18.54 LPA


Is it true that Kashipur gives better opportunities for top 50% students as compared to Ranchi? Can anyone explain this? Which should I opt for considering my belief that I am an above average student?
