I have a query, I cannot decide whether I will join this year or not. I had calls from CKI this year and converted K as of now and waitlisted 128 in C (So, Indirectly rejected).
My profile
10th - 10 CGPA
12th - 83%
B.Tech - 6.8 (IIT Kanpur-2021)
Work Ex- 8 months with UnAcademy.

But, recently, I left my job due to the company’s policy regarding competitive exams (According to them, I am not supposed to attempt any exam when I am working).
Now, I am jobless. So, it’s hard for me to decide whether I go for IIMK this year or attempt CAT next time because CAT and Interviews are highly unpredictable.

Given your work experience, assuming you are not working now…the same 8months work ex will be in your application next year and if you score very good percentile you may also get Lucknow call and tentative Bangalore call…so the non-interview scores of final selection will be same as now… then the interviews which you already know about the dynamics…put all you options and plans on a paper and assess them according to your goals.

As you have just started your career, you can do well in either options with a solid plan.
