Scored 96.72 in CAT. Performed really well in the interview. WAT was so damn neat. Belong to OBC, Non-engineer category. Graduated from a top ranked College. Had great 10/12th scores. I was so hopeful that i would convert Kozhikode. But, it was an outright reject, not even a waitlist. This really screwed me up. Gave a mini heartattack. P.S- They even offered me a toffee for godsake. One of the interviewer even told me "Since you're from a non math background make sure to learn some basic math concepts that could be useful inside a b-school before joining one".

After two horrifying rejections in A and B, finally Konverted an old IIM. Thanks to everyone who polled to my profile and other jokes of mine. Profile: SC category. CAT: 97.2 10th: 95 12th: 89 Grad: 63 Workex: 22 months Status: A: Rejected B: Waitlist 51 K: Konverted.
Guys anybody knows exactly why there was a spike in general Waitlist of IIM K in 2019 (391) as compared to 2018 (179). In both the years initial % allotted to cat to shortlist for interviews was 75%. In the final selection cat was given a % of 40% in 2019 and 35% in 2018. Can this 5% make such a huge difference or was there anything else ?
