can someone help me,
so, a friend of mine, a fresher still in his final year yet to write his final semester, converted IIM K, I, L and baby's IIM's.
The final semester exam is set to begin in July, but colleges are asking for the acceptance of offer by signing a doc telling that all his exams and viva's are completed by 25th June.
what is he supposed to do?

Asking for a friend. He's converted 12 Iims with Lucknow and Kozhikode being his best calls, and with all the negative comments about Lucknow's campus culture (on quora), he is sceptical about considering the offer and is more inclined towards the latter. No matter how hard we convince him, he isn't showing interest towards L. Can you guys please shed some light on this? How true are those negative comments on L? And also please suggest the best option between K and L. I know, a lot of us are waiting for the K's list to move and some of the feedbacks can be misleading. I sincerely request you to provide only genuine feedback, misleading others will not help us in any way. Thanks in advance.

Some one please clarify whether the finance course will give MSc or MBA degree? There is a lot of confusion
The third list would be out by tomorrow itself? (1st June) ??
Many of you have messaged me thanking me for providing a bigger picture view of not just IIM-K but the entire MBA experience. It's not just placements. It's about a life changing experience. Every couple of days I'll share a video to bring this to life.

I played for an IIM-K team and it was such an amazing experience building strong bonds with my team mates and those on other teams. I also networked with athletes from other IIMs and am still in touch with several. It's one of the many advantages of being part of the wider IIM network. After Sangram many of the athletes also got calls from our alumni congratulating the teams and also talking about their own experiences many years back.
It's also great fun cheering for your team (and sledging the others? 😄). Everyone on Kampus talks about it for days afterwards.

I understand there is a lot of anxiety in all of us regarding the wailist/meritlist/preferences etc. We have mailed AO requesting them to reveal merit ranks asap, and the present Student council is also trying to expedite the process.
Anyone who responded on a previous post(https://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/official-mdi-gurgaon-admissions-2020-22-pagalguy-56659604117521/77883025865226) should have recieved a copy of that mail.
There was a slight issue in the form which caused a bit of confusion. To clear the air I have updated the form and request every waitlisted candidate or IM or HR candidate reading this post to please fill the form and help us in determining an estimate for merit ranks.
Your name and email will not be shared with anyone in any situation. The only purpose is to limit the number of responses each person can send

For the lucky people with MBA Finance offers, please check out this video by Ketan KG, an IIMA alum. He says that this is a great program with a great curriculum at an established old IIM with an established recruiter base.
I would also add
i. WHOLE IIM-K PACKAGE: You are not just getting a finance MBA tag and placement. You are getting the full IIM-K package. Check out the '7 reasons why IIM-K is special' webinar and document and of course the new anthem video
ii. PLACEMENTS: Some people seem to be spreading some funny uninformed notions here. This is a first generation IIM which has placed 20+ batches. A section of 60 finance MBAs is a cakewalk. How do you think finance recruiters will react when a top 5 IIM starts a MBA finance?
Also always know that the more top talent there is on a campus, the more offers they will make. Listen to the alumni webinar and hear the story of how the PE recruiter came to K with a plan of making one offer and another at another 'top bschool' but ended up making both offers at K.
Also a recruiter doesn't care which program a star candidate is in. They will hunt down a star candidate whichever program she or he is in.
iii. ALUMNI NETWORK: This may be a new program but they benefit from the same alumni network of IIM-K of alumni from across programs. So all the finance alumni from IIM-K over the last two decades are all resources for someone from this program. IIM-K has the most engaged alumni network.
iv. BATCH: The plus here is that you have 60 of you who are hard core fin Gods. So you will learn even more and deeply from each other. The con though is that you will not have the diversity in specializations and interests that would be there in a normal PGP section, but in your second year you will do electives with the regular PGP students so you will get to expand your network there also. Besides given the various aspects of student life you will meet students from across programs.
