Hello... In the interview form, we have been asked for any discontinuity in career. I have completed my B.Tech in May 2015. I got an offer from an MNC during the placements in our college. But my joining date was on December 22nd, 2015.
Should I mention this period also as a discontinuity? Please help.

IIM Sambalpur is pleased to announce the completion of the placement season having achieved 100% placements for both finals as well as summers marking yet another successful placement season at IIM Sambalpur. The batch of 47 participants saw an overwhelming industry response, as they received 63 offers from 49 companies participating in the placement process. A diverse portfolio of internship offers came from various domains such as Strategy, General Management, Sales and Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Market Research and Digital Marketing. Students received coveted roles and niche profiles in sectors such as Investment Banking, Consulting, FMCG and consumer durables, Engineering and Energy, Wellness & Healthcare, E-Commerce, BFSI, Telecommunication, Information Technology, Automobile, Education, Professional Services and social sectors with the highest number of offers being from the FMCG sector. The recruiters comprised of reputed companies such as PwC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bata, SBI Capital, AMUL (GCMMF), Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, VLCC, SEBI, EXIM Bank, Patanjali, Mapro Foods, Rakshak Foundation, Reliance Jio etc.

This year saw a mix of very diverse yet balanced opportunities across sectors and functions, this season saw maximum offers in the domain of Finance, with 25% of the batch opting for it encompassing roles in the highly coveted Investment Banking and financial consulting sectors. Sales and Marketing followed closely which attracted 21% of the batch talent, where the much revered FMCG sector ruled the roost, while operations came in third with 19% with the majority being selected in Energy and Telecom sector, barring that HR and General management had 9% and 6% students opting for them respectively. IIM Sambalpur scaled new heights this year as the highest offer being 100000, while the average stipend paid saw a staggering increase of nearly 61% over last year amounting to 40286. The top 10% of the batch received 93333. The top 25% of the batch got a stipend of 80800. The top half of the batch got a stipend of 54364. The final placement report will be out soon. Thus, concluding yet another successful placement season at IIM Sambalpur.
