To all those, who’re sceptical about your converts, we were in your shoes exactly a year ago. We can only give you our opinion based on our interview experiences and our peers. A below average interview experience from your end might not be from the interviewer’s end. They might assess you on different parameters. Personally speaking, after I walked out of my interview room, I felt that I had a below average interview experience but to my surprise, I converted all new IIMs in the first list itself. Hi, are new IIMs worth joining? I am a General candidate with 97.1 CAT percentile and decent acads. My WAT/PI was also good. I hope to convert almost all new IIMs. But, I have heard that new IIMs inflate their placement reports a lot and the quality of students is also not good. I have heard that Category students get into new IIMs at CAT percentile as low as 40-50 percentile, and this is lowering quality of new IIMs. So, are new IIMs worth joining, or should I drop for taking CAT again?
