Kindly make note of these points:
1. The female candidates shall be provided with accomodation at GH-1 while the male candidates at Hall 12. You need to mention these hall numbers at the IITK entry gate. Buses have been arranged to ply between the respective halls of accomodation and the department for both the sessions.
2. For candidates who have not opted for accomodation, mention Department of IME as your destination at the main gate.Regards,

Anybody leaving today by shram shakti from delhi?
From where will we get bus from Railway station to IIT kanpur campus.
I forgot to bring the application form.. i have soft copy. My gdpi is schedule at 8:30 am. At which time stationery shop open at campus and can we go for gdpi without application form and submit it after sometime. PLEASE REPLY.
My train from Kolkata is re-scheduled by 16hrs late. I am afraid I may miss out my GD-PI time. I have already dropped a mail to [email protected] requesting a reschedule of my GD-PI on the same day in the sceond half. Do they entertain such requests? I have not received any reply yet...WORRIED

I'm currently in my fourth year b.tech. I don't have my 4-1 original memo as my college provides them at the end of fourth year only. I have taken a print of my 4-1 marks sheet from the online portal. Would that suffice? or will this cause a hindrance to my GDPI process ?

My GD/PI experience with IIT Kanpur on 30th Mar at 8:30AM
1) We need to go through a initial verification process. There we need to show all the photocopies as mentioned in our call letter. Once you are done with the process you will be given a ID card. All the volunteers here were so nice that they helped a lot in getting the photocopies and all.
2)Now we need to do to more types of verification : Part A and Part B.
In Part A we need to show once again all the certificates including CAT score card and WE certi if you have one. Here they will check the scores as well as number of months of WE.
For Part A I was assigned to a lady volunteer and she was so rude not only to me but to everyone. She thinks like she is the head of the MBA dept.
After Part A we need to move to part B process. Here we need to show our 10,12 and B.E certificates in original.
3)Coming to GD it was a case discussion. There were 15 people in one group. The process was like you will be given one abstract to read for 6 mins and you need to talk about it individually for 1 min.After that you need to discuss you points in group for 8 mins.
4)PI. I got two technical questions and 4 question regarding my work experience. Finally one presence of mind question. That's all. It took hardly 10 mins.
If anyone going to Kanpur or going back from Kanpur please don't book the trains. Why because my flight was at 8:30 PM from Lucknow. So I boarded one train from Kanpur at 3:00PM and travel time was 1hr 30 mins. After moving 20 KM traing was halted for around 3 hours in middlle of some fields and reached lucknow by only 8:15 PM.
I missed the flight and it cost me a lot.
Also I noticed that almost all the trains coming/leaving from Kanpur were so late. so better book bus if you got any urgent timelines.
31st mar slot 2 Cdpi experience :- In Case discussion we got a paragraph with a general case of company internal conflict b/w a fresh out of the clg guy(bob) and a veteran(coot) wrt decision making about a project and it's completion scenario which may have led to a serious slip up but was just avoided by the veteran by going behind the back of the bob which led to serious altercation b/w bob and coot. So, now there was a question as suppose u were the lead supervisor in this firm, then how would u go abt solving this conflict? In Pi, general greetings, then profile reading by the panel(major focus on my engg clg and work ex) then they started looking at my transcript and asked what were my favorite subjects? Told'em Data communication, data warehousing and data mining, dbms Then they jumped straight into acads mode and asked what's data, what's exact is data warehouse, what's data mining, difference b/w data and information, what exactly is raw data, what's a protocol(ip related stuff), what's a data packet, what's the difference b/w data warehouse and database, what's data manipulation and give an example of the same which clearly states the difference, data mining tools, tcp/ip protocol explanation Now they shifted towards extra curriculars,what's special about you in a sentence then they asked abt how was my pi experience and i Told'em awesome so they said let's leave at that note. Thank you (pi was around 10-12min)

A big " Thank You " to all the student coordinators. You guys were helpful like anything. Right from control room to transport team everything was well planned and managed. Have attended several interviews in past but never had as soothing experience like this. ( Except the PI part s:p ;) )Thanks again team ...

You guys were outstanding. From initial verification till the waiting time outside PI rooms you guys were great. The final call for photocopy was never final. 😄
All the instructions were clear, and had a great time except for one thing.
A person from the team Mr, Shivam didn't allowed me anything to eat.
Everytime i was going down to have something he called me back for the process. 😂 . Just kidding you were of great help Mr. shivam. Thank you so much team.
