Anyone Please Share your PI Experience..
So I had my GD PI today.. Here's how it went.. We reported by 8 am and then went through two rounds of document verification. Every process went was carried out smoothly..all thanks to the volunteers 😊 If you forget to get something xeroxed or printed no need to worry they have those facilities in place. Now the major part- My group (E in my case) had their PI first. I think most people had same experience as mine. Questions asked were about anything like maths formulae, your employer's background, your state's background, your hobbies, riddles, just anything. So i guess you can never be 100% prepared for it so just need to relax and answer while keeping your calm. Everyone in my group had 5-7 minutes of PI. Then came the GD part. By that time we in our group had broken the ice among ourselves so we kind of had got long past our nervousness (atleast speaking for myself). Topic of GD PI was a case study related to Honda's strategy to launch 50cc bikes instead of 350cc and thus increase in its sales in US. We had to infer about Honda's move, lessons learned and how we could implement it in India. First we were given 8 minutes to read and prepare our points, then each of us were given 1 minute to speak on the topic in turns. After that a 5 minute GD was conducted on same topic. And that was all. In all it was a smooth process. Thanks to all the volunteers and core admission committee members. Also thanks to all those in my group whose friendliness helped me calm down. 😊😊

GD PI experience today: Reported at 1pm at IME building. 2 rounds of document verification done quickly. GD is more of a case study discussion. Everyone given a minute to pitch in individually and then a collective discussion thereafter. PI was very technical, grilled on probability sums and definite calculus. A little on work ex and extra curriculars. Process was very lengthy (went in at 1,came out after 7) and a test of your patience. But the coordination of the present students in making the process smooth was quite commendable. Very enthusiastic and helpful bunch of people! I felt it was long because of the shortage of interview and GD panels, IME being a relatively small and close knit unit. All the best to those who are still left with their process.
