Many Congratulations to IMT for making a fool of us, aspirants. What kind of Institute decides the percentile cutoff after declaring the result?


We got shortlisted, got done with the interview and now we are told that the cutoff has not been met. Why call us for an interview in the first place? So, this is the money making strategy which IMT portrays now? Really sad to hear.


Also, after this incident, IMT should keep this in mind that it has lost a great deal of respect as an Institute. Secondly, we as aspirants have now got the clear picture of what this institute is doing and will spread this message to all future aspirants/friends/family who have a good impression of the institute.


I wouldn't blame the adcom team as these guys were being played as well. Afterall, they are students.


At the end, I myself thought IMT to be a great Institute, not anymore.Ā

Hi, I have converted for the BFS course. However I had following couple of doubts for which I needed clarification: 1. Is there any provision to change our course from BFS to PGDM Core Full Time or PGDM Marketing after we join the college, and what are the conditions to facilitate the same? 2. As per the refund policy, I understand that if I apply for refund before 6th June 2019 and seat could be filled by the institute before 4th June 2019, I will get back INR 2,49,000. But what if I apply for refund before 6th June 2019 and the seat could not be filled before 4th June 2019, how much refund will I get in this case as this scenario is not mentioned in the offer email.

I am sure everyone of us has faced some kind of rejection. Please don't say we can't handle rejection. Your entire process is shady. Let me also clearly mention that there was someonewho had posted that the cut off for IMT G would be 93 percentile this time and this was before the letters were sent out. So,this had always been the plan and I am sorry, I refuse to believe that it was a mere con-incidence. The team could have mentioned we would only be eligible for DCP courses. What you fail to see is that we are not INTERESTED in DCP. We wanted a waitlist or even a rejection would have been better rather than forcing down our throat DCP.Ā 


NEWS FLASH: Most of us didn't apply for DCP!


People have travelled from their homes to attend the interviews at different cities. They have taken leaves, adjusted their schedule, and even missed interviews to attend this interview. All because, they believed and trusted, they thought if they gave their best shot, they would have a chance. There was never a chance. That's what people are angry about. We know you aren't at fault but please stop acting like this is all right and we can't handle rejection. You have scammed people, accept the fact and get on with your life (which you are obviously doing). Thanks for all the hard work, we really appreciate it. We just want the concerned authorities to come out clean and at least release a cumulative score. We aren't expecting to get selected in IMT G, and after all this, most of us aren't interested either.


P.S.: We know, life is not fair. We are dealing with it. Don't act all high and mighty pretending what the concerned authorities was just and 'fair'!

Hello, Could someone please, please, please tell me what I am waitlisted for here? Is it for core/marketing/finance courses at IMT Ghaziabad itself? Is it for DCP? Or am I waitlisted for the other campuses as well? Like, did I not clear for ANY courses at Nagpur or Hyderabad either? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SPECIFY ANYTHING. And, there are no emails whatsoever to help with the confusion. I had a 94.xx in XAT and a decent PI, by the way. Please help out so I can let go of IMT once and for all.

Guys ye change.org India mai kuch ni chalta but it works outside. You can all start a petition to AACSB to drop its accreditation to IMT and can mail them too about the whole fiasco. If you want you can do it

Actually no one here is criticizing the seniors who have helped us in this thread and I can speak for most of us when I express my sincere thanks to you for all you guys have done. As for the part where we are not able to handle rejection, first of all most of us who are angry are not rejected, we have been given dcp. The one thing which is gnawing all of us is the fact that we missed our working hours, spent money on travel and other expenses all in the hope of making it to a premier b school. Now when u guys say cutoff was 93 all along, we feel disrespected and we have done no such thing to deserve this. We are all mature hardworking individuals who will eventually make it to our respective dream institute. We just wanted TRANSPARENCY that is all. A DCP CONVERT(apparently who could not handle rejection)

Candidate: I applied only to IMT core program as I had 91 percentile, and now you after the result that the cut off was 93 percentile. I travelled all the way to venue and attended the interview on my expense only to know now that I was rejected all along. Care to explain? IMT: You should try our DCP Program. Candidate: I am not interested in your DCP program. Am I waitlisted for the Core Program? IMT: Oh no you are not. Our DCP program offers international exposure! Ā Ā To the doubts that has been frequently asked by you guys:

1) How will waitlist movement happen and when is the next date for waitlist upgradation?

The waitlist is common for all programmes of IMT Ghaziabad, including DCP. For example, if a seat is vacated in BIFS, the candidate waitlisted next, will be offered a seat in that very programme.

Date: for waitlist upgradation or movement the next list will be out by end of April.


2) What if there is no result tab on a student portal?

Unfortunately, that means the candidate hasnā€™t been shortlisted for any of the programmes at IMT Ghaziabad.

3) What does ā€œon holdā€ mean?

Currently the admin is reassessing your profile, so you havenā€™t been selected or rejected. The result for this will be updated by mid-April.


4) For BFSI do we need to go Belgium and who will bear the cost?

That would be optional for guys selected for BFSI and all the expenses will be taken care of by Ā the college except air expense and your personal expense.

For accreditation of the course it is still in the process.Ā 

PS: we are building a FAQ for BFSI, which we shall release soon for you guys. That would clear most of your doubts regarding BFSI.


5) Do 17.5 lacs include hostel fee and mess fee?

Yes, it does.


6) We live in Delhi-NCR, can we opt out for hostel service?

No, itā€™s a compulsory two-year residential programme at IMT Ghaziabad campus.
