seniors plz help! what is the placement scene? the website is not much clear on the placements....
1] is placemnt 100% ?
2] low, avg and highest salary?
can the seniors be real about the facts on placements , is it possible to get a true picture of the situation , what the average package of placement till now is, how many students are placed etc,please help us its a big decision to take

@plmsrkr Hello, Let me address your concerns. Placements have many facets. One, how many people want to be in the process, two, how many are eligible (which companies decide after seeing their resumes), and third, how many are from a certain stream. It is true that not all specializations get a fair opportunity for placements because of the paucity of vacancies in the job market. However, if you are good enough and can stand out among your batchmates, be sure you will have a job in your hand before you leave the college!!

@abhi36729 If I understand correctly, u mean to ask about point two which is about company selections on basis of resumes. If that is what you want to know, then let me inform you that certain companies shortlist candidates for interviews based on varying parameters like percentages,GPAs, work-experience or even in some cases age!!
@punya_imtn yes i wish to know about it...to be specific i want to know if being a fresher makes me in-eligible for some companies...?? so they even consider the ug specialization...or its just the cgpa during course at imt-n?
@abhi36729 Most companies do not differentiate between freshers or experienced ones...some come only for laterals(Exp) though. Companies sometimes also see your previous records but that is occasional and not frequent. When you pursue MBA, you do it in a specific area and companies come down to hire you for that particular stream. So, undergrad stream rarely makes any difference, although sometimes it might. That is everywhere and not specific to IMT-N

also there is so much ambiguity regarding the result dates....in pg it is saying 26 march...and a frnd of mine called admin off...they told her that rstl will be out aroung 15 mar....when can we expect it???
@abhi36729 See, individual mails go to people when they are selected, and dates vary. As of now, I can say that you will start getting mails from the mid of March!! "Beware the Ides of March"....rather "Wait anxiously for the Ides of March"

@punya_imtn : tell us what is the current summer internship scenario @ imt-n. are stipends being offered? for the final placements of ur batch and the previous which sector companies recruited the most e.g. fmcg, ites, etc and what profiles were offered to the marketing and hr streams ?
