Hello everyone! I understand it is an anxious time for all of you, but please bear in mind that we also faced a similar situation last year.....people who are selected will be informed through e-mails and pretty soon too!! Everyday you need not ask whether list is gonna come out. There is nothing like a "list". Individual e-mails are sent!! So just chill, relax, and enjoy the last few days before you get lost in the hectic schedules of a b-school!!
P.S. A lot of you have begun admiring your seniors even before seeing them!! Well done!!

What is the current scenario of placement for batch 2011-13?????
I heard that there are placements as low as 3 lacs in imt nagpur this year.....seems bad!!!!!

@bhaduriarchit@parimaltewari10 Regarding placements.....there are only very few students who had not managed to be picked up by any company coming to the campus previously during the peak placement season!! They wanted a placement anyhow...so the companies which did not come previously due to the less salary that they offered were asked to select some of these. That is how some people ended up with less than avg package. However, this happens everywhere including IIMs. At the end, a few are forced to take up jobs with a lower package simply because of them not getting selected in the previous opportunities!!

so does that mean an average student with around 7cgpa and good communication skills can expect a good package around 6-7 lacs p.a. with marketing specialization??
@parimaltewari10 well if you outperform ur batch mates....u certainly will...and plz understand tht simply gpa or comm skills are not sufficient...u need to have business acumen and actually be suited for the profile that the company requires!!

regarding that...can you please tell what are my chances to get a profile of brand management in an FMCG...i have work experience of 2 years in auto ancillary,an iso ts 16949 certified quality auditor responsible for maintaining quality management systems in organisation.Audited all the funcions viz. HR,Marketing,Planning including top management.Have hands on experience in buisness design,six sigma green belt and was also responsible for ensuring customer specific requirement in all the processes.
@parimaltewari10 i guess u have a good profile for an operations job!! still if you want to get into core marketing...u will start from scratch like any other student with you!! I would advise you to rethink your priorities and come up with what you want to do!! Companies look for "relevant work experience"!! so if u think you have a distinct advantage somewhere, you can always portray it!! best of luck

Hmm.... already thought about it.....until now i was in charge of B2B marketing which includes tasks like schedule adherence,customer satisfaction survey,logistics(premium freight),cost savings etc. but now i want to work in B2C marketing where i can get opportunity to design strategies,work on promotion of brand and travel with distributors and customers for promotion of product.So do you think still i have to start from scratch??? please reply

Yes, they would be accepted. But, CMAT score update on portal is not working yet. 
PS: Avoid CAPS while writing :)
@punya_imtn I cant update my Feb CMAT Score in admission portal.. Kindly let us know how to update it..!!! Even IMT Helpdesk guyz dint know how to do it..
