i have just recieved an email that says
"We are pleased to make you a provisional offer of admission to our PGDM (Finance)programme for 2013-2015 Batch"
can anyone tell me what provisional offer means here..?

I guess there is a bit contrast here. The mail i received mentioned that I can take a dual specialization with finance such as marketing or HR.. Its written in the email from IMT admissions team. So that is valid.. But i dont want at all any specialization. I wanted general management pgdm full time.. So still trying till 5th april. Else wont go further with this one..

Temporary offer hai. If people above you dont withdraw then you might have be forced to withdraw your application. Its like a waitlist.
If people above you withdraw, which they will, then you get a chance for Final Admission.

I mean, even I got the mail saying that I have converted Marketing, and that I have the option of taking up a dual course, and clubbing Marketing with Finance/HR etc.

Is it that you want only a General Management PGDM course?

No why i want a general pgdm is because the flagship at IMT nagpur is only their pgdm general course. All other specialized courses become the feathers of the cap. And basically its a personal choice and nothing to do with dual specialization.. 😃 Hope that answers the query.

To all those who havent got confirmation call uptill now:
Last year's senario is that majority of upper range of CAT %ilers(above 80%ile) dont go for IMT N,
so even a 65%iler in CAT had converted IMT N
So just relax and wait
