To those who have converted a bit of clearing the air on refund policy.
Following are the terms and conditions by AICTE mandated for all colleges :
Refund Policy - As per AICTE Guidelines (Reference: AICTE Guidelines No.- AICTE / Legal / 04(01) / 2007, April 2007) Process of refund of tuition, development and other fees after cancellation of admission secured through CAP rounds, institute level round(s) and vacancy round(s) of admission: The candidate, who has been provisionally admitted, may cancel admission by submitting an application for cancellation in duplicate, in the prescribed format and may request for refund of fee. The refund of fee as applicable shall be made in due course. It is made clear that such application for cancellation will be considered if and only if the admission is confirmed by paying the prescribed tuition fee and other fees in full and by submitting the original documents. Refund shall be made after deduction of the cancellation charges as shown:
SITUATION REFUND
On request received before the date of start of the academic session & seat could be filled by the Institute before the cut off date. Entire fee less by Rs 1000/-*
On request received on/after the beginning of academic session & seat could be filled by the Institute before the cut off date.. Entire fee less the Seat Cancellation Charges on pro rata basis **
On request received before/after the start of the academic session & seat could not be filled by the Institute No Refund (except security deposit) Note:
€ * Entire amount of Security/Caution Money Deposit will be refunded to the candidate.
€ ** For calculation of the Cancellation Charges on the pro-rata basis, one month shall be treated as one unit e.g. if the candidate cancels admission on third day i.e. within one month after the start of academic session & the seat is filled before the cut off date, then Cancellation charges on pro rata basis will be the higher amount of (Entire fee ) /12 or Rs. 1000/-
What else to be sent along with DD of 50000?How would they know that this DD is sent by this person they havent mentioned anything in offer letter they have just said send DD.

If at all I have paid the fees before Apl5th as intimated and wanted to cancell the admission if got call from any other when should I intimate them (what is the tentative dead line for the same?) so that I refund my fees. what do u mean by Entire fee less by Rs 1000/-*(* means 50000-1000 na?) Kindly reply me asap......as the date is getting nearby

@bhaduriarchit Why do suggest IBS-HYD iinspite of IMT-N since the only diff is fees(IMT-N:- 10L(includes hostel and acads) and IBS_Hyd:-12L+2L(hostel and mess)) whereas all other elements(infrastucture, faculty, quality)are almost the same?

Regarding upgradation we have no clue as its in the hands of the college authorities. Dead Line for cancellation ?? Haha nice question it reminded me that last year IMT Nagpur closed down their phone lines when the last date was near, and its not only this college its almost all other third tier colleges. So be aware of the whole thing before taking any risks. Keep in mind on thing, if the college really wants to help a candidate then you would never need pagalguy.com. But in india the scene is that no college wants to help a candidate, they all want to rip you through their admission procedure secrecy. So the only way to get through is to keep researching on pagalguy and other websites so as to get ripped to the minimum !!
Yes entire fee - 1000 means 49000 refund. Only in case of request received before the date of start of the academic session & seat could be filled by the Institute before the cut off date.
paying and securing seat is not a point,the point is, is it worth joining,how good are the faculty,placements,summer interns,coz from what i got to hear at my gd pi at gaziabd campus that because of the increased no. of students at all campuses,thngs have detiorated.
@bhaduriarchit sir, i did not upgrade my XAT score on portal and hence been evaluated through CAT, in which i have scored 60 odd percentile and hence been selected for hyderabad, my XAT score is 85%ile. They took my manual scorecard at the time of GD PI and hence i wasnt aware about upgrading it, will that be considered for any kind of upgradation? or cant i update it now or what can be done? thanks
