fellow aspirants. seniors can only predict the scenario .. heyy IIM A declares cut off so does imt.. but in neither students can come out with certain cut off.. it depends on number of applicants ... a college with cut off 80%lie can decide to call a 75%lie based on on excellent profile and reject a 81%lie on bad profile.. so just keep fingers crossed .. seniors are just trying to help lets not get aggressive sorry if am wrong to anyone

@balaganesh.p v r not at all aggresive.u just want our minds to be clear. we have to start preparing for gdpi. there is a lot of difference between telling 70 percentilers that we may be called if clg finds our profile impressive and telling them that they have a fair chance to get a call. place urself in our shoes. one day u get reply that u have fair chance to get a call n another day cut off is 80. that means only lets say 4-5 students frm pool of below 80 percentilers have a chance. there is huge difference.
@balaganesh.p cutoff means no students below 80 percentile is eligbl to apply............what u r saying is true..but,,thats possible only if the institute comes out with a second list,for students below cut off..........

@DIPisDAbest u can check bim website rite now .. it still says general cut off 90% i knew ppl who converted with 87 in first lists 😃 it all depends on number of applicants and their score.. just think over this a college has 90% cut off for 180 seats.. say they 1000 applicants for interview and there are only 200 applicants with 90+ cut off .. would the college fill its 180 seats with just 90%lier sure no .. so its all relative..
@DIPisDAbest exactly. and we realy appreciate efforts of anubha and the team for prompt replies always.. but aspirants ( 70 to 80 percentilers)are not getting a clear image what r their chances. yesterdays post of anubha has given a mini heart attack to all such aspirants

I am equally concerned for the applicants. I did talk to the authorites regarding CMAT Feb applicants but you got to understand that external factors are not controllable.
Cmat Feb results come out really late. By that time if the seats are filled, I would not be able to help it unfortunately. I will still request sir to find a way out if possible.

I am just student, here to help you guys.I was an MBA aspirant myself till last year so i know how crucial this stage is for you and your friends 😃 I explained it to some of your friends and i will explain you and @khushiii again that i have been told that the cut-off is 80ile. However IMT-N does take into consideration work experience and past academic record. i.e 10th, 12th and graduation percentage! If you have a good profile why would a B school want to lose out on a good candidate? Thus, it is true that people falling short of 80ile but having an impressive profile are given a call for GDPI. I know you have your mind wrapped around the word "CUT-OFF" and you rightly quoted how it works for IIMs.
But you have to understand that you are not applying to an IIM nor have you got the percentile to qualify for it. IIM rules do not act as a thumb rule for ALL the B schools throughout India. IMT-Nagpur is a little more flexible only bcoz we do not want to lose out on a good applicant. So a chance is given to atleast appear for GDPI in cases similar to yours. What should be more important to you right now is whether or not you'll get a good B school or not. Being aggressive and blowing things out of proportion is not going to benefit anyone. As of now you prepare for GDPI and be patient. I hope you get through :)
